Movies that you refuse to watch.

I've never read the comics, but I know the general premise. But it seems like the movie was made in the height of the media's current put-horn-rimmed-glasses-on-people-and-call-them-nerds-to-get-nerd-money nonsense. And what infuriates me is when people wonder why I don't like the movie, because "you're so smart and into nerd stuff!" (They are likewise flabbergasted that I don't like the Big Bang Theory. Since, you know, all smart people are supposed to fit into one mold of bullshit.)
I sort of liked Scott Pilgrim as a popcorn movie but it wasn't Shakespeare to put it bluntly. None of the performances were that great and it seemed to only appeal to the type of people that squealed in the audience when the Legend of Zelda melody played.

Movie 43
This was a sketch comedy that took 13 years it be released just so it can end up being one of the worst movies of all time.
The entire movie can be summed up as a cluster fuck from having to pitch the idea to a dozen studios only to have the majority of them reject it, to having to deal with 15 different directors and writers, to having to guilt trip over 30 actors from trying to abandon ship.
The material in this movie is said to be so offensive and unfunny that I feel like the movie was made JUST to make whoever agreed to be a part of look like complete assholes

Speaking of horrible rape movies, I've never seen "I Spit on Your Grave". That's weird because...I'm a HUGE fan of Camille Keaton and have seen at least 8 of her films (including all the incredibly rare and obscure Italian films she did). I guess it's because I heard that the rape scenes are long and drawn out which is not something I want to see. Some time in the future, I might check it out. I have, however, seen "Savage Vengeance", a HILARIOUSLY bad 'sequel' to ISOYG which also stars Keaton!

The rape scenes aren't that bad. I won't spoil it but theres a scene in the bathtub thats pretty rough though,
Revenge-for-rape movies piss me off so much. They only serve as shock value. Killing someone who raped you or someone you love does NOT earn redemption, if anything it makes you just as monstrous as the rapist(s).

I will never watch E.T. The alien looks like a bent duck.

Yeah, it could turn you really gay. Watch Sailor Moon instead.

So basically it's worst than anything zeltzberg and Chris would make with humor? That is somewhat interesting but also sounds regrettable, wanting to actually see it.

spoiler warning: its literally just shit jokes, pee jokes, period jokes, ball jokes, and "cringe" jokes done without even a pretension of humor and are literally less amusing than the worst comedy routines you can imagine. Even the fact you are watching dozens of fairly big name celebrities have the filmakers shit on their careers is rendered unfunny by just how shit the jokes are.

Then ya gotta watch Saint Seiya then if you're a girl.

I actually kinda like Big Bang Theory, though I can see why people might object to the nerd stereotype.

There are several movies:
1. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I know it's supposed to be a great movie, but it's hard for me to watch because I'm actually interested in psychology, and I dislike seeing how brutally psychiatry was practiced as recently as the 1960s.

2. 2010 (or any of the other "sequels" to 2001: A Space Odyssey). You have this great (in my opinion) movie whose ambiguity lends itself to multiple interpretations. Then, instead of leaving things as they are, filmmakers try to "improve" upon perfection (and make a quick buck) by making sequels that explain everything from the original movie!

It's like telling a great joke and then explaining it to your audience. I don't want for you to explain the mysteries surrounding 2001 - the fun comes in savoring the unexplained elements and coming up with your own interpretation of the movie's meaning.

3. Mall Cop/most Will Ferrell movies. I probably come across as a real humbug when I say this, but I don't really like the modern humor sensibility. There's too much "meta", over-reliance on non-innunendo innuendo (my term for when they leave no ambiguity about telling sex jokes) and just really biazarrely stupid humor.

I'm all for Will Ferrell making a good career for himself by starring in a series of movies - more power to him. But I'm just not a fan of the kind of movie he makes. I caught Anchorman on TV last month, and except for one or two instances, didn't laugh much. I'm not a "comedy snob" by any means (one of my favorite things to watch on YouTube is the Farting Preacher series), but it seems like there's an overabundance of lowbrow humor on TV and in movies nowadays.

The live action Resident Evil movies, Love Guru, the live action Silent Hill movies, live action super hero movies, live action Disney movies, a lot of Disney movies that aren't the Emperor's New Groove, and any movie from the Movies series. At first when I saw the trailer for the Ace Attorney movie I was like This is gonna suck ass!", but I actually really enjoyed it.

I think with Scott Pilgrim it's either you really like it or you really hate it. The beginning of the movie and the book are very, very similar. Then it kind of goes in a completely different direction. I'd really recommend reading the books though, I think they're really funny. Scott is kind of like a skinny ginger Chris in some parts.

Agreed on the RE movies, I watched a bit of one of them on TV and it was just painful. Love Guru is terrible, so consider yourself lucky.

As for the SH movies, the first one is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine; I like it and yet I don't. Haven't gotten the chance to see Revelation yet, but it sounds like it's even shittier.

Capcom's CGI RE movies are pretty watchable. It almost makes up for the fact that Capcom has been giving Leon less attention than he should be getting, although Leon's one of my favorite game characters of all time, so I might be a bit biased.

Let's see, I don't really have many movies that I would refuse to watch, but the ones I do are...

-Just about any of the Happy Madison films
--I prefer Adam Sandler's sketches on SNL over his movies. I haven't seen Funny People, but it looks to me like its a decent film I guess.

-Madea series
--I either roll my eyes whenever I see trailers for these or wonder if the series was really popular enough to warrant as many sequels as it did

-Anything Seltzerberg has made in recent years
--Recreating scenes shot for shot and reminds me that I could be watching a better movie(or at least better by comparison)

-Battleship
--Went to see it (I only went to humor my uncle who honestly wanted to see it). What I expected was more or less what I got out of the film. It was more or less Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor but with more aliens. Also that was pretty stupid how they tried shoehorning aspects of the board game in the most ridiculous ways

That bad..........? Truth be told I only saw part of it but it's just about some doofus with a bad hair do in high school. And you have my sympathies
