OKAY
So I'm pretty picky about starting new series and such, but after getting recommended Mr.Robot by literally half a dozen different people I gave in.
Focus is on computer and network security and it refreshingly stands out from past 'hacker flicks' coated in green text command prompts flashing HTML with HACKING IN PROGRESS windows. It's able to include several believable security scenes which don't throw around a distracting amount of jargon. If you sit watching TRYING to nitpick the technicals of it, you'll find holes. But really you shouldn't be watching a show for fun with that approach in the first place...
So brief summary, main character works as a security engineer who has a pretty convincing case of aspergers. Not trying to be funny, they really did make him a sperg who's behavior actually makes him unlikable at points. But he gets caught up with a politically motivated online group clearly meant to model Anonymous and we end up seeing a lot of anti Wallstreet big business sorta messages. The series sometimes bounces over to following some of the wealthy business men being targeted by the hacks which serves as a nice contrast for the audience to make between them and the main character.
Oh plus one of the supporting actresses is a qt.
The first season just completed and I'm on the second to last episode.
In addition to simply recommending it, I'm curious to hear if anyone else here has already seen it.
Thoughts? Criticisms? Reviews? I don't care about spoilers much, but if I post any I'll use the spoiler tag.
