I just meant that from everything I've read, most of the autistic students who are "mainstreamed" aren't given the same curriculum as the other students in their regular ed classes. The reg. ed. teachers collaborate with sp. ed. teachers to tailor the curriculum to each special needs student individually. I think someone even confirmed that the company that produced most of the materials Skyraider has dumped indeed specializes in special education materials. He was physically in reg. ed classes with other students, but it's doubtful that he was actually doing the same coursework and assignments as they were. The main reason he was there was so that he could have exposure to "normal" kids. I could be wrong about all of that, but I don't think so based on what I've read, and what I've seen in these dumps.

Oh I get what you're saying. It's even worse if he was given these grades on freakin' special ed assignments though. I mean, think about it. In theory that means he couldn't (or, more likely, simply wouldn't) do work that was theoretically at his level. Someone seriously should have been telling him to knock off his crap. Anyway, I do agree that the main purpose in mainstreaming him should have been to get him interacting with other human beings. Unfortunately, as we have seen, Chris really didn't take advantage of it. He didn't need the "gal pals." He really needed one or two good peers to guide him. Not coddle him, but teach him how to actually interact with other human beings, as well as watching out for his dumb ass. And yes, he probably did need a male friend to get some of the crap out of his system. His "lovequest" wouldn't have turned out the way it did if that had been the case.

In primary school when we had to join the letters together with little flicks on each letter my writing was horrendous and I hated how it looked. When I changed to just writing normal letters my writing was a million times neater and I was much happier with it. The teacher never complained about me not joining my letters together so I doubt Chris's teacher would care if he changed to neat print. There's no need to be writing in jibberish Chris.

I feel the same way. At some point in middle school, I ceased writing in cursive, and whatever that I didn't type up and print out from a computer, I would simply print everything out, no matter how long it took, and especially no matter how often teachers nagged at me to write in cursive.

The only cursive I use now is signing my name on checks and other documents.

I think it may be based on the school, maybe because Chris went to a public high school. I also have autism, and I was mainstreamed by my parents. However, I went to a private high school and I received the same assignments as the rest of the class.

I think you're giving him too much credit by saying almost. I'd say he's totally non-functioning. He offers absolutely nothing to society. Unless we count his hideous drawings as something.

Actually, there is one thing Chris offers. In spades.

Hear me out: I help teach Special Ed kids as part of my job, and we do a lot of work with them after they graduate. A great many of them work out to become really solid members of society; just this year we had one kid who graduated become a barber, and another is now working for the Geek Squad at BestBuy. But what's kind of humorous - many of them know about Chris-Chan.

And they want to make sure they're nothing like him.

To them, he represents the ur-example of everything wrong with their world. They see a world they want to be part of and contribute to. Even the ones who suffer the most from depression, dysthemia, and a number of social and psychological disorders have found a unifying force: In not being that guy - in not following in the footsteps of CWC. Many of these kids know someone who essentially is a Mini-CWC, and they can draw clear parallels.

In this regard, I'd say the CWCki's chronicling of the rise and fall of Chris-Chan is one of the greatest public services ever done for the interbutts. Indeed, in just analyzing his behavior, odious as it is, one can learn so much that it's frankly fascinating.

So whilst Chris himself is a terrible human being who will never amount to anything except a figure of ridicule, the amount of good he's indirectly accomplished just by being his racist incompetent lazy self, and more importantly, the CWCki's chronicling of it, has led countless people to improve themselves. And in that regard, even if he is quite literally a stack of congealed failure, there is some good to have emerged from it.

And that's sort of awesome. So take your bows, people of the CWCki - you've accomplished considerable good.

probably varies by student, some might get the same assignments with academic accommodations (extra time on tests), teachers might have dumbed down the assignments just to avoid dealing with Borb

I'm not a native speaker and I barely got through my 2 years of spanish for collage. It unnerves me as well. As much as it
seems to annoy people that speak Spanish,(you, me,
skyraider, a few others) I want to see some compositions. I

My gosh, I would totally LOVE that! Well, compositions are a common exercise in language classes. I had to do that for English classes and still have - I'm studying to become an English teacher and thus, we study English in depth - and even in high school, we had to write short paragraphs sometimes, so I really hope Skyraider gets a hold of a TRUE and ORIGINAL Spanish text by Ritardo.

I gotta start off with my thoughts on the random bouts of Spanish in Chris' notes... The first thing that needs to be established here is that Chris thinks that he is cute. As evidenced by many smug photographs of child Chris posing with some sort of amateur art or Lego creation, the Borb showered Chris with affection and praise anytime he did anything at all. Chris gets off on this ego stroking, and clearly he was trying to get a little stroke from his teacher when he decided to practice Spanish in the middle of his assignment, otherwise he'd have left off the explanatory note. It's a failed attempt at trying to milk out some affection from "School Mommy" that no doubt annoyed the instructor tasked with trying to teach Blockhead Chandler. Considering how Chris' speech was developed with the help of Mommy's toy budget, Chris probably tied learning speech to rewards in his head, and was looking to receive them right away for having learned some new words.

My other favorite part of this is the Pop Quiz. The huge "WHY??!!!!" at the top is some classic tardrage preserved for all time, and is probably a good indicator of how Chris behaved in his high school years (like a fucking toddler). The whole point of the pop quiz was to see if Chris had learned anything, and he KNEW right away that he didn't so he raged out. for somebody who retains and remembers so much worthless cartoon and video game minutia, it's pretty inexcusable that he only got one question right on the quiz. This kid must've been thinking about Sega Saturn or some dumb shit instead of listening in class.
