MST3K is now owned by Shout Factory, who will be responsible for clearing movie rights, which should mean they'll have a wider range available to them than Cinematic Titanic. And for those worried that Felicia Day's writing will taint the show, you need to remember we're talking about a show that has hundreds upon hundreds of jokes in each episode. According to MST veteran Paul Chaplin, only about ten percent of the offered riffs were retained. That volume of material needed prevents an overriding voice from taking over.
If I remember correctly the old show was written by having all the writers get into a room, watch a bad movie together, and just write jokes as they thought of them. I don't know if the new show will be the same but I'd like to hope so.
