NEW YORK (AP) — Multiple people were shot Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, the city fire department said.

Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot and undetonated devices, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said.

According to a law enforcement source briefed on the investigation, preliminary information indicated a suspect was dressed in construction attire.

A photo from the scene showed people tending to bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the station.

Further details were not immediately available. New York City police said they were responding to reports of people wounded either by gunfire or an explosion.

Trains servicing that station were delayed during the morning rush hour.

It's actually a good thing that it's so loose because a tourniquet applied distally to the wound would probably make it worse lmao.
I mean, at least with the guy in the foreground of the picture, the bleeding seems to be originating from his ankle (notice the stain on his jeans) so it is proximal to the injury site. You're not supposed to put the tourniquet over the knee if you do have to apply one though lmao.

Uh oh, CBS reporter accidentally just said he was black
So did Bloomberg.
Which group will be blamed? Roll up roll up! Place your bets on who is a problem!
My bet is this will be blamed on ‘muh incels’. Young man so couuuuuuld be incel blaming!
The NRA/gun lobby.

My bet is the suspect targeted Asians and Asian Americans. Knowing the media they'll spin it and discuss how Asians many times Asians have been discriminated against by white people. This why they can ignore the issue of black on Asian crime and still blame white people. Two birds, one stone.

They'll say that blacks attacking Asians are "misleading" or "out of context", then proceed with whataboutism over the Georgia spa shootings a year ago.

To blame someone they have to talk about, which I doubt they'll be doing by this evening.

The smoke device is making me lean away from a black guy. I feel a shooting of peace would have more dead, considering...it's a fucking subway in New York. But who the fuck knows.
Shitloads of flashbangs & CS got flung around in most major cities in recent years; wouldn't surprise me if a grudge-holding nigger picked a few up off the street (or employer).

For the kiwis playing at home, tying a tourniquet isn’t something you should do. It’s almost always better to apply direct pressure to the wound. It looks dramatic on tv and movies but doesn’t help with most wounds and has a high chance of causing harm when done incorrectly.
Plus arriving EMTs/Paramedics have actual tourniquets that they can ensure are applied properly (instead of a jacket sleeve and a stick if you know how to actually make a makeshift one). Plus, it's important for the trauma doctors to know the exact time it's applied.

Not entirely convinced this did target Asians specifically but I guess we'll see.

Don't you always want to avoid them unless there's been something like a full amputation level injury?
