I wonder if part of the reason Nader has been denied bail is that he has nowhere to go other than the home of his alleged victim.

That would be part of it initially, but not in the long run. Charges like that would require a peace order which would restrict him from living there. (I linked the legal process further back in the thread). Dee Dee may have even said he had one with Chantal but they still met up. That would be easy for them to check.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Dee Dee has backtracked and tried to have the charges dropped like Chantal did, but having the video recordings as evidence would make it easier for the Crown to go ahead without her.

I like seeing this thread updated, because it gives me pause to think about the big talking but cowering scumbag in jail with real men.

I still think she won't testify in the trial. She got him in jail, and now he's probably, "learned his lesson" for breaking up with her, so she won't go any further.
