This hasn't leaked yet, really?
How many people do you think still care about Cosmo or even know he exists at this point? He'd long fallen from grace by the time the doc was even started. Wagner only chose him because she'd been a fan. A Farmer could have backed the kickstarter with the intention to leak, posted here for literal years, and wandered off after getting bored before it ever came out.

That and I highly doubt we'll see anything new or interesting from this documentary anyway. Just more ass pats for Cosmo being a brave tranny fighting the system or some shit along with coping from Cosmo about some inevitable return that'll just never happen.

Don't worry, guys. That monumental retard who almost doxed himself and paid to a scam kickstarter is NOT going to leak the documentary here.

Goddanm useless user, deserves a halal and a permaban, stupid faggot.
Nah man cool it. We’re all frens here.

The doc will surface one way of another, I doubt it’s anything too good otherwise something would have come out instead of a single screen of when Cosmos polls was like a week old.

I think the Martyr who paid for the world most boring documentary died whiles watching it from excessive yawning.

:semperfidelis:

Thank you for your sacrifice.

I'm going to be very bored if the whole thing is Cosmo whining about tranny issues.

That's exactly what this whole thing is going to be, isn't it?

Am I missing something? Did they really fundraise 50k and spent 4 years making a shitty movie (that's heavily outdated at the release) just so a few people can watch it during local film festivals and then the backers (all ~800 of them) can watch it for the entire 2 weeks?

This shit is not going to available to everyone?
After a certain point, early on, years ago, the documentarian clearly used the failed project as an excuse to get involved with various film making workshops and networking groups. Actually releasing it is an afterthought.

It didn't turn into much as the only credit post the TV production work is the doc.

Anytime you make a movie about someone - you're essentially fishing. You get the rights when they're cheap (hopefully) and make a movie and hope to release it when interest in that person is at an all time high to get a big return on interest.

It's why you frequently see absolute nobodies (aka Zoe Quinn and some other cows) talking about getting Book and Movie deals - it's just a low cost "we have the rights if we want" deal. Zoe Quinn is worthless, but a movie in her likeness would be a valuable if something happened to her that made news (aka she was murdered, discovered as a fraud, etc). It's most common when some kind of celebrity dies.

The filmmaker for Cosmo wanted an easy (and low cost) person to make a documentary on for a film project and would have been worth money if Cosmo came back into speedrunning and got famous again and/or killed himself. Neither of those things happened.

Apologies for derailing but you made me remember that fucking Scarlett Johansen was going to play Zoe Quinn. Gamergate had such absurdly high dramatization that a portion of the populace was gaslit into believing it was anything more than an oversized flamewar, Some idiots in Hollywood bought it and tried to sell it but what was it going to be about? An attention whore just crying endlessly as mean videos get made about her. Wow what a story. I almost wish the film happened just so it could end with the revelation that Gamergate led to Trump getting elected.

But I digress what would a Cosmo movie be about? The struggles of speedrunning, a hobby which non-gamers will barely understand and most gamers won't even appreciate unless it concerns a game they love? Cosmo is famous for speedrunning Ocarina of Time, which is a famous game but to understand the complexities of those speedruns you'd have to break it down so your normies could understand it. To explain Donkey Kong in the movie King of Kong was easy, it's a very rudimentary arcade game. Try telling someone why they should care about Ocarina speedrunning especially when those glitches they use just look like they broke the game.

So the only angle that's left then is an ugly dude who started wearing dresses. Hollywood has plenty of trans shit to pump out.

Tranny shit. It would start with how hard his rise to fame was behind the scenes because he was struggling with it. It would move on to a dramatic drop in popularity and start of harassment when he came out. Proceed with a downward spiral of drugs, poverty and suicide baiting because nobody accepted him and he couldn't get the support he needed. Then finish the lie it off by lamenting what he could have achieved if society were just more accepting of trans folx. Cosmo is a misunderstood genius after all. The story writes himself. The speedrunning would be secondary to the near complete fabrication they'd have to paint his character as.

Scarlet Johansen was never going to actually do it - but a movie about GamerGate would have been massive if GamerGate ever actually amounted to anything (spoiler - it did not).

A Cosmo movie would likely be about one of three things
- A happy story where someone who falls off a hobby (speedrunning) gets back into it and becomes great it again. This did not happen.
- A sad story about someone down on their luck who ultimately kills themself. This did not happen (yet).
- A vexing story about someone who's notorious and crazy - that you can get in before it "blows up" (aka King of Kong or Tiger King). This did happen, but Cosmo just sent some angry tweets and shit his pants instead of doing anything newsworthy.

The filmmaker probably had the framework for each of those and was waiting for something "big" to happen and finish it - only to give up on it four years later when nothing happened.

Ok so, I watched it...
I got the documentary on my HDD and watched it.

It’s… something else.

But before I armchair psychoanalyze this shit, something that made me lol so hard I had to fucking clip it.

Yer, Narci goes out to CA to see his "GF" and "she" takes him out in the sun and he fucking pukes because he's not used to being outside. I did some light editing but not much, the only thing I clipped out was narc moaning about feeling sick.

I will share the link where I found the documentary later, I'll put it together with my review as its important context to my transformative work and I have it locally incase the link goes down later.

I'm guessing he puked from whatever light hike they went on. I was much more of an avid outdoorsman and drinker when I was younger and went on many a day hike extremely dehydrated when I wasn't still drunk. Even light to moderate physical exertion + dehydration + lack or food in your tummy and glucose in your blood can make you puke. Cosmo is a profoundly unhealthy person and I think he lives his daily life with the last two elements of that equation.
