With regards to Cosmo and his politics, a few years ago he went big on Andrew Yang solely because he promised an income for everyone even if they don't work, which of course fits into his NEET lifestyle. Of course he never discussed the impact this would have on the economy, inflation, etc.

It never ceases to amaze me how these lolcows feel the need to try to convince people that they are intelligent. Cosmo is a college dropout that has no understanding whatsoever of society...never had a drivers license and on multiple occasions can't even be bothered to keep up the paperwork for his free government health care. This is a 35 year old man! I didn't watch the video, I had to tap out after Cosmo talked about Elon Musk cheating in some video game as why he can't be trusted in politics.

He isn't alone. Cyberdemon used to make daily political videos that were absolutely batshit, but went even more bonkers and hasn't posted since election night. Isaac switches from his suicidal threat videos to giving his expert genius opinions, this time on keto diets.

No one, aside from their hugbox followers, thinks they are even close to moderately intelligent, let alone experts on anything. They have absolutely no clue how to be a member of society, and let's not all forget that Cosmo miraculously has not been prosecuted for threatening to shoot up the Twitch offices. A while back when he still had a twitter, he tweeted the Twitch founder and told him that his website "ruined his life."

Every single time you think "ok this is it, Cosmo is 35 years old and he's starting to realize the wrong he's done" he doesn't. He gets close to an apology then he doubles down and say he needs to "flip the table" whatever that means.

Cosmo is an extremely unintelligent attention starved failure that will never amount to anything more than a lifelong cringe performance.

I Wonder how much longer Cosmo will live. I don't mean when he offs himself, he's too narcissistic for that. How much longer can his body and mind take all the abuse?

I think the answer here depends entirely on how long he'll be living with family members. Right now he lives with at least his dad, and doing so forces some sort of normalcy; eating regularly, not being completely strung out on drugs 24/7, most likely having some type of activity (even if minimal). We've seen several times what happens to Cosmo when he lives alone...diet based solely on Soylent, can't understand the difference between an OTC fiber supplement and a "life saving medicine", strung out on drugs (and mixing several different illegal drugs with prescription drugs, I might add) 24/7, no movement outside of a 400 sq ft area...that type of lifestyle is not sustainable or healthy. If he's put into a position where his dad dies and no other family members will live with him, I don't think he lasts more than a couple of years. If he's got enough extended family that will take him in indefinitely, he'll live to a normal life span of 70+.

The ironic take, for me, would be if he really does end up in some type of facility involuntarily and is committed. That's a real possibility. It'd be ironic because while Cosmo has time and again said that it's his fantasy to be in a facility where he's cared for, the reality of how that works will be soul crushing for him. Having to adhere to strict rules on behavior, schedule, timing, sobriety, etc. It'd be a fantastic end for him.

It was a product of the times. """Content creation""" wasn't a viable career path back then, let alone gaming. Esports wasn't really a thing, Let's Plays weren't really a thing, streaming wasn't really a thing -- they existed but they were novelties, not the massive industries they are now. Hell, the first couple predate Twitch, it was still justin.tv back then. Point being, gamers were losers. Playing video games past childhood was unequivocally seen as a waste of time, you were wasting your time doing this stuff. So the idea that a bunch of nerd losers who were ostensibly doing nothing of value could come together and raise even $10k for charity was both noteworthy and wholesome. There was no pressure because there was no expectation, because there was no precedent. Nowadays you have dozens of """gamers""" who make that much in an afternoon, and GDQ has to compete with them for attention, while also castrating itself for sponsors, to say nothing of the woke shit.

It's kind of like gamer Woodstock in a way. It can never be done again, not because you couldn't recreate the experience or the atmosphere, but simply because it wouldn't have the same novelty and significance that it did in the beginning. You can't break the same ground twice.
Well said. Although what I find interesting is that even the old runners that were part of that start a lot of them do not like GDQ as it is now. Because of the money incentive and it becoming bigger the event changed a lot and it also attracted different type of people I think.

I agree it was a product of it's time. Still I think it is possible to have an event like GDQ used to be. For example in The Netherlands we have a speedrunning event which is very small scale and has a lot of that GDQ vibe going on. Maybe the trick is just to keep it small. That's why I also said Kaizo Colosseum which is an event which started I think for Mario Kaizo hacks. The problem with that one is they try to give it a sort of "entertainment factor". It feels kinda fake. The early GDQ's was more genuine and less focussed on "I need to be as entertaining as possible!" More down to earth vibe.

I guess this is because like you say they have to compete with a lot of other entertainment.

It was also cool to see Ludwig try an event with the speedrunning stuff. But again, it was very entertainy hollywood YouTuber type of vibe. Which I find unappealing.

Speedrunning also became a bit less interesting for the mainstream crowd. It really had huge mainstream momentum at one point. I don't mind it going back to "underground" though. You could also add randomizers to speedrunning events just like GDQ did. Racing randomizers stays fresh in my opinion because the game is different everytime.

Speedrunning can become boring once the game is optimized close to perfection. Unless a new bug is found. But at the start of GDQ there was so much to still be discovered. It was uncharted territory in a way. That's why I think randomizers might be the answer to future events.

I'm happy it existed though. It was a good time. Would be cool to see SOMETHING that resembles it even if it's like 50%.

Sometimes it is genuinely intriguing how some troons join the 41% at the first instance of misgendering/deadnaming while others like Cosmo stubbornly cling to life like a cockroach in a nuclear holocaust. A casual viewer would look at Cosmo in his old videos (a depressive, self-loathing and pathetic individual etc) and come to the conclusion that he will kill himself soon, if he hasn't done so already. In a way, his narcissism could be considered a natural antibiotic, his immune system that prevents him from getting killed by troonery. Or maybe his narcissism (and autism) led to troonery IDK.

His drug abuse does have very real physical consequences however.

Cosmo looks to me like a guy who's constantly on the verge of collapse, eating like shit, no excercise etc. but somehow lives to late 70s despite always having some kind of a serious health problem lingering in the background. Only the good die young and Cosmo is one of the biggest wastes of breathing air alive. Dude's less worth than a potted plant, that at least removes excess carbon from the atmosphere. You couldn't even use him to fertilize the earth since his diet is so bad; at most he could poison all the bugs at the cementery after you bury him there.

he is streaming

Between this and the Nova Wright channel, he sounds surprisingly lucid (comparatively). Only caught the last twenty minutes or so though, so who knows if I missed any classic Narci moments.
True I noticed the same thing. He sounded better from the short clip I heard. I even thought in some Nova Wright vids he sounded better than before. I hope he'll get healthy-ish and get away from this self destructive tranny-ism. It even makes him boring as a lolcow. It's just straight up destruction into nothingness.
