Cosmo's hair in that barrier skip video is something else. He can't have been older than 25 but I've never seen a hairstyle emphasize onset male pattern baldness that perfectly

He got into speedrunning when it was still pretty new and fresh, and he trooned out when it was still pretty recent. I mean he could have kept speedrunning. Hell, he could have become a tranny activist back when it was a great way to get other idiots to give up money. Look at that Dylan fucker, he made bank just blogging and complaining all the time. Cosmo wanted people to give him money for just complaining. He couldn't even bother to do that. The guy doesn't do much of anything other than social media posts now and then.

Cosmo, you too lazy.

Necroing this thread after several months to bring you a nothingburger update:
Narcissa confirmed still alive as of 11 days ago. Looks like he's been doing some kind of programming something or other recently.

Noticed that video on the far right there, which at a glance appears to be a schizo MSpaint ramble? Might've been something to check out if it wasn't members only for who even knows what reason.

While I'm here, might as well ask, does anyone know where TF his twitter is anymore? That one from 6 months back is dead, no surprise there, but he's gotta have one somewhere. Also I forget but does he have a discord server? Or is that dead, too?

He has a very small discord. A few months ago, I watched him play tekkin and he had a simp begging for an invite. Narc dropped a single burn invite into the chat for them. Other people wanted in but narc didn’t let anyone in because he didn’t recognize their usernames.

With Twitter from what I remember. He squats on the handle but never posts on it. There used to be alogs who would try to snipe the handle if narc didn’t post for a long time but I don’t even think he has any alogs anymore.

He's still alive. He uploaded to the Nova channel less than 24hrs ago. No commentary, no cam.

Thinking for a second that Narcy could kill himself is a rookie mistake.

Dude gets to sit in his room m, play video games, tinker with game development and have his mom bring chicken tendies up to his room. He’s living the dream.

I kinda miss those times. It was like the millennial geek era of speed running when it was hype. Incl. Cosmo's era. I still watch speedrunning now but you can tell a lot of the force/hype behind it is gone. It kind of went back to what it used to be, more niche and smaller. Not a bad thing either. Still enjoyable. GDQ is still big and I think there is a lot more Gen Z speedrunners now. But yea GDQ to me is boring as hell now. Not sure why. I only watch people's channels now. Haven't watched a stream of GDQ this year.

About Cosmo and his downfall yea it's sad to me. I've seen a lot of downfalls though in all areas of life this happens not just in speedrunning obviously. Those who can be stable (on top) for years and years are rare. Most people go up and then crash hard and their fans can't understand why it happened. People are ruthless too once you go down people start hating even harder on you. Especially old fans.

The biggest problem for Cosmo was his choice to go into the transgender thing because now you also are messing with your hormones and body. Better to just take the loss (from losing your GF and whatever elese) and live healthier. Over time you get over it. I think he really messed up his health by dabbling in it. I would of loved to see him become even a casual streamer.

Same for guys like Siglemic. I think a lot of people when they have a sort of downfall from being very popular they start doing crazy stuff to cope with it. Better way to deal with it is to accept you become smaller and cultivate a community that you like if you want to. Most people can't be on top for a long time. Instead to cope with it they start saying crazy stuff, do crazy stuff (drugs, hormones, behaviour) to try and stay relevant. Or they just disappear.

Plus estrogen and all those drugs won't make you a more pleasant person. Just makes you a moody person and sometimes even psychotic and angry. Depends on the person but I've seen a few people I know go on these drugs and they didn't come out happier in the long term. A lot of them became more unlikeable actually.

Cosmo was a likable guy. But I doubt he knew this himself back then. Maybe had low confidence too, etc. It was a reason I watched him at least. Just seemed like a chill and good dude. And then he got a bit of fame, everything went well. And then boom his GF cheated on him, he lost some game and started crashing out. I've seen it so many times in different calibers.

This is what happens to most people who are "famous" without having any sort of agent or person to wrangle them and tell them how to behave when they are out and about doing their thing. Most online influencers are just average Joe's who get fame thrust upon them and they don't know how to deal with any of it, especially when it starts to wane and they sense that their extravagant lifestyle might be in danger.

He still posting, havent seen if he still streams, still changes username from time to time, wonder if he is trying to avoid detection or something

Idk his deal when it comes to fame. For a while he was lamenting not being famous enough but when he get some traction he immediately will have a BPD melty and hides.

I mean his brain is unironically cooked. It’s fucking Swiss cheesed over what could be a decade of SSRI abuse, dude weed lmao and psychedelics + being a turbo neet shut in who had black trash bags over his windows when he was “living large” in a Portland one bedroom apartment.

I think the only reason he’s even 10% functional is because he lives with mommy now. But if he could afford to live alone and do drugs he would 100% and just melt into a puddle.

he would 100% and just melt into a puddle.
I wonder what will happen with many of these cows longterm. Many of them are really utterly non-functional but don't really meet the criteria for full-on institutionalization. Homeless vagrants found dead after a particularly cold night? That's really the only fate I see for Cosmo and others in the long run.

Each time I check in I can't believe that this monstrosity hasn't killed himself yet. I don't even say that from a place of hatred, but rather genuine amazement that such a profoundly unhappy and fucked up individual carries on. Not to mention that he intentionally puts himself in the public spotlight by streaming & having meltdowns immortalized on camera.
Over three years later and this rings truer than ever.
