Often autistic types would end up in some profession like being monks. These were also often the youngest songs of minor nobility. They generally didn't get to reproduce (other than by cucking others and by banging peasant chicks), but they enjoyed a reasonable standard of living.

Maybe we should bring back monasteries for people like this.

Psychotic episodes cause some form of permanent damage. Those people are likely to snap at some point. There is one in my apartment building that slid down and down, and it ended with her trying to stab me and cut me open. I was not amused. As soon as Narcissa goes full throttle psychosis and starts about people being replaced expect Roland Zieck type of shit. It will give us many ments but also be tragic.

Best if there is a straightjacket for dear Narcissa in the very near future. This can never end well if left on its own.

Yes and no - psychotic episodes aren't in themselves dangerous, nor do they cause permanent damage on their own; that being said, they are *never* harmless and they can *sometimes* lead the person to do dangerous things, but usually just to themselves. Psychotic episodes are literally just somebody "breaking" from reality, and this can happen to do countless things and manifest in countless ways.

When dangerous people get psychotic episodes, that's where the largest problems come into play; it sounds like you had the unfortunate experience of encountering something to this effect. I hope you were alright, that's gotta be rough to encounter that.

Edit: Narci is in a dangerous position with it because of how psychologically fragile she is and how she paints a massive target on herself, making a potential vulnerable person incredibly moreso than before. She's much more likely the type to self-harm from what it seems.

More twitter sperging. You could fill a book with these, and have the cover be some monstrous depiction of Narcissa.

EDIT: oh, I’m dumb, there’s way more juicy tweets below these.

The thing I don't get about ~psychosis~ is how do you define or distinguish a "break from reality", particularlyl when we're talking about someone whose life is a complete shit show.?!

Are they in a persistent state of psychosis? Is that a thing, or is it more like panic attacks where it's bio/physiologically impossible to be in a state of full panic for more than X minutes because the body just can't keep that up.

The guy that made the Kony2012 campaign comes to mind (probably just because I watched Internet Historian's video). The work, stress, and public scrutiny got to be so intense that he clocked out of reality and danced around naked in the street completely unaware of what he was doing. If any parallels were to be made with Cosmo, I don't think the environment he limits himself to (internet hugbox) will ever push him over the edge to do something violently insane while dissociated.

When he shaved his head and does his strange heavy breathing sperg outs they are fueled by drugs and his own special brand of autism. His anxiety and clear social phobias will insulate him from genuine stress that normal people experience, let alone what a high profile celebrity would experience. I was ready to keep an eye on him during November/December before he found all his "savings" because it would be interesting to see how he would respond to the stress of being evicted (which I'm sure he would take as a personal attack) and forced to move in with his parents which would require a lot of physical effort and social interaction.

Also it's not like his soylent-wasted ghoul body is suddenly going to develop hulk strength.

She was fucking mad because the mew2king becoming something in some list, like, then banned some guy who told her mew2king actually worked hard to be on that list
more from that ranting

I haven't been on the discord in awhile, but it always seemed like most of these people would ignore the rants and awkwardly continuing talking to each other until it was their time to give Cosmo his asspats. Then he would ignore the asspats.

Psychotic breaks tend to effect consciousness and behavior, so that's usually where you look. They're usually brief in duration, but it really depends on the individual.

Psychosis itself isn't too difficult to diagnose, but the root cause can be. As for diagnosing someone in a bad spot in life, even if someone is having a rough time usually won't be hallucinating. They aren't delusional. They won't be experiencing catatonia or communication impairments, etc. If they're experiencing things like that, it's a sign they should go see a doctor.

This isn't exactly the best analogy, but a panic attack is more akin to somebody being overloaded and unable to function because of that. It isn't really a break in reality, although it might almost initially appear that way depending on the situation. Somebody in a psychotic episode isn't really overloaded, but it's more like the input they receive from their senses gets screwed up while processing.

A not so perfect example that sort of works regarding psychosis: to most people, A + B = C. To somebody in a full-blown psychotic episode, this might be more like A + B = "I have a secret pact with God and he's agreed to not let me die."

Edit - Somebody having a panic attack is usually pretty obvious, but somebody could be having a psychotic episode and it's possible you could never be aware of it despite spending a large amount of time with them. It's a really interesting subject.

One of Cosmo’s many problems is he seems to have his entire concept of love and relationships from saccharine media BS. “Bliss and laying in someone’s arms, taking care of me, pampering” etc.. he doesn’t want a relationship he wants a slave like devotion from a rich groupie who’s only goal in life is massaging Cosmo’s ego.

If he was a woman I’d assume he’d OD’ed on crap like Twilight, Fifty Shades of Grey and the Lifetime Channel. Since he’s Cosmo I’ll assume anime poisoned him.
