I was watching the fight. Action Jon was pretty good as Incineroar. He actually took 3 stocks off Narcissa very easily the first game. It's kinda funny how Narcissa was doing the same methods over and over. It was to the point i kinda knew exactly what she'll do if someone got too close to her but then again, she's playing a character with projectiles so she has to spam like hell in order to win.

It should be noted that ActionJohn didn't even lose a single stock in the first game. That was pretty dominant. As for spams, that's part of fighting games ("zoning"), so I wouldn't knock Cosmo over it. Good players know how to get past the zoning and punish players for it, like ActionJohn did.

As an aside, I would love a plot twist where ActionJohn reveals that he was John Numbers all along.

Edit: TFW a follower is already amazed at the viewer count being over 30 at one point. Wright used to rake in far more viewers back then. How the mighty have fallen.

True. It's annoying fighting characters who zone like that but it's the norm in a game like Smash. But seeing Narcissa get punished the first game was satisfying. Sadly, it's not John Numbers.

thats why cosmo is a bad player and lost to megaman, megaman zoned the shit out of him, he didnt knew what to do :story:

I wish i was there to see that fight. :story:

Narco needs a lot more practice to be anything close to relevant, watching some of the top 32 matches it is obvious these players are far beyond Narco's skill level... and this is not a Pro level tournament, these are people with less time to burn practicing the game.

Narco seemed pretty happy about getting "Top 10%", but even if this was Naifu World Wars, the only one that gets a ticket to a real tournament is #1 if I recall correctly.

Cosmo was #1, and even when he lost to John Numbers, he was #2 then.

@Kaabi
The guy was basically all about zoning, using bullets then grab, using hurricane for air, throwing discs, using leaf shield and throw

That Megaman was really good. You can tell they know how to use the character to their full potential. Narcissa's Lucina is WEAK. I've seen people who use Lucina and she can be a huge threat. Nairo himself has used Lucina very well compared to Narc. Narc's Lucina needs work, plus that matchup was in favor of Megaman. While her Gunner is her stronger main, I feel her Gunner is gonna give people issues because nobody fought Miis in Smash Wii U, so people tend to just figure things out as the fight goes on. But if you keep doing the same things to the point your opponent can read you like a book and never switch it up here and there, then well... you're done.

I also think she's playing Gunner mostly because she wants to stand out compared to the Smash players out there using the most known characters and Narc is using Gunner.

It seemed like a more even match in the first game and then in the second one the king burst guy just starts having fun with him lol, he gets baited by the same trick twice what a noob. I don't even play this game and I can see he's out of his depth.

I dunno how Narc fell for that attack twice off-stage. But it was pretty hilarious to see that happen.

>Mii Gunner
Mii's are Tournament Legal now?
Yeah. You can use them online in this game and they don't change properties depending on the Mii's body shape, so the only difference is specials.

Yes, but he was a very flowchart Megaman. He's playing Megaman to the same weaknesses that made him drop off in Smash 4, which is relying on his very underwhelming projectiles. Conversely, Cosmo is playing into it by just mindlessly running into the guy. I can say more about this Megaman, but that's not the main focus.

If you are playing a projectile character against another a projectile character and they're just constantly shooting at you, then you shoot right back. If you're playing a physical character against a projectile character and they're just constantly shooting you, you rush them down. Mii Gunner is nice because you can do both through how her neutral game is relying on speedy and long-ranged moves, but Cosmo is essentially doing neither. He's doing techniques he thinks are all cute and clever like dropping a bomb at the ledge, but he's trying to be smart over performing the bare-bones techniques any player needs to use to do well at a higher level.

If I remember correctly, he placed 59th in this tournament which, out of over 500 participants, is on the high end of the average nobodies like people who join for fun since that's about four rounds into pools. He has a big hill to climb to actually establish himself when he's severely lacking in any technical ability to play the game, and it's an uphill battle if he simply refuses to regularly play against skilled players, instead opting to play randoms online. But Cosmo will never have a regular group to practice with, due to his strictly antisocial personality traits. There's a reason why the term "pubstar" has a negative connotation, because stomping any average Joe is meaningless when all it does is encourage habits which make you lose against better players.

... I actually know of other transsexuals who fight as miis in SSBU wearing the maid costume. That's slightly off-putting.
It's to reinforce their perceived femininity. "A cute and sexy maid" outfit falls precisely into their mindset of an ideal woman, whereas a genuine woman (assuming she would be self-centered enough to use herself as the reference for the Mii Fighter instead of, say, Batman) would most likely select an outfit she thought would be appropriate or cooler.

Just for the record, Narcissa's Mii Figther. Heading to r/eyebleach now.
Yep, looks like a dude. And a parrot with that schnoz.

What's amusing to me is that there's so many mouths which are much more appealing, realistic, or--dare I say--feminine that he could've picked. There is exactly one frowning mouth you can pick for your Mii, and of course Cosmo picks it because edge.

And I'm not saying you shouldn't ever pick that mouth. I'm not so petty as to judge a person based on their stupid Nintendo avatar, but Cosmo's countless attempt to portray the facade of him being distanced, detached, and emotionless which extend right down to his stupid Nintendo avatar are very exasperating.

And thanks to Narci, Nintendo is implementing this one...

He does that? But I've seen countless videos of him screaming insanely in bizarre emotional seizures.

That's him just breaking down. When he's not emotionally imploding, he tries his best to come off as stoic or nihilistic, hence his constant Twitter posts which constantly border on the line of "edgy anime protagonist" and "suffering from a debilitating depression." His stage persona falls apart since he can't hide his facial expressions and literal tears on camera through simple text.
