Fortunately you need more than just isolation to make a Narcissa, you need someone who is completely unwilling to have any sort of multilateral interaction with other people, and who has nothing to occupy their time. Honestly Narc could still probably turn this around, but I think by their nature they will be unwilling to.

I can sympathize though, social interaction on the internet can feel rather shallow, and I know the malaise that can come with isolation.

Find a little dive bar where they still sell $3 beers and hangout for a couple hours. You'll make real life friends in no time, not great friends since they'll usually be fucked up drunks but friends nonetheless. They'll listen to the little anecdotes in your life and you'll listen to yours. Just remember to tip your bartender a buck for each beer.

I have zero pity for adults who purposely isolate themselves from others. Oh and if you are exactly like Cosmo you either have to detroon yourself or go to the gay bars. Sorry but normies don't like freaky people.

Alternatively you can look online and find some nerds to play DnD with, chances are they will be exceptional, but so are you!

I really don't like the definition of narcissism as grandiosity/egoism -- if it's the personality of someone who adheres to a bullshit fake identity that they value more than anything including survival for themselves or others (see for example family annihilators, who will literally wipe out everyone they know rather than admit that they're broke, or have been pretending to be employed, etc), then it's worth thinking about the construct Narcissa is putting forward here. I don't really believe he's a narcissist, but if he is, and this is what he's telling you, then he's legitimately at risk even if he thinks he's putting on a show. Probably in the circumstance where someone he values implies just that -and he'll need to prove he's not. Literally dozens of young men killed themselves after modelling themselves on Werther (of the Sorrows of Young Wether) or some Byronic hero or another, which is narcissism if anything is.

I went to check up on Break the Game. There have been no updates on the Kickstarter at all concerning the documentary. The last comments from backers were when it was funded. There isn't even a production timeline. The twitter has had a couple updates since September about shipping backer awards or retweeting some speedrunner shit, but once again nothing about how production is going. Absolutely nothing on their Instagram or Facebook. I'm not even sure when it's supposed to be released. Rewards that include a digital download are expected to be shipped anywhere from right now all the way to December 2020. The one that includes an advanced screening in NYC shipping this month. I also wonder how many of the backers who were supposed to get to play or stream with Cosmo have collected that reward

They seem to be shipping physical rewards at least. How long are they expecting to take to edit this thing together? This isn't Boyhood, IT TOOK 12 YEARS TO MAKE, you're cutting together clips of a ghoul and adding sad music. I get they're trying to do it in the most flattering way possible and that's real fucking hard with Cosmo, but still. Going through the teams individual twitter shows a lot of activity on Wagner's hyping the kickstarter and then nothing after. A couple of the others are active, but nothing about Break the Game. Some I couldn't find twitters for in a quick search. They all seem to be working on other projects in 2019.

How many years and how many people does it take to make a documentary an autistic tranny who doesn't leave his house? I understand if they have other projects, but not a clip or teaser on the twitter? No pictures of an editor hard at work on Instagram? Is the grift in? I'm not terribly familiar with filmmaking and I'd love to have someone who is chime in.

They don't have to talk about it anymore. It got funded, so they get to keep the money as long as they produce something down the road. Like you said, all it really needs to be is Cosmo whining about his life in his cave with sad background music. Half of it could easily just be past footage of him and his speedruns. One person should have little trouble throwing this "film" together in a few weeks.

Unless this Wagner chick plans to use this documentary as a launching pad for her film career, there's not much reason to go beyond the minimum.
