William Byron makes in two time back-to-back Daytona winner. Surprisingly Jimmie Johnson finishes 3rd just as if it was for shits and giggles.

Edit: Dammit I wasn't the first. q-q (I thought it was okay but I kind expect some people go a bit apeshit with moral grandstanding after the race as he said situation on who made the big one.

Congrats to William though. He has the protentional to win more than one Championships)

how is nascar "health and fitness" nigga they're just sitting in a car nigga my obese grandpa sat in a car as well nigga
You actually do have to be in shape even in this motorsport because you're gonna need those split second reactions for the next three hours and your body certainly is going to be tested with the race suit on and the G-forces applied to your body.

Thanks for the information. I was being silly (I swear it's not an "I was only pretending to be retarded" moment, but maybe it was halfway), but if it allows for education, cook.

Yeah, it's a common misconception that people have about driving racecars. They assume it's just a relaxing sunday drive and not a gladiatorial battle with brutal machinery.

I bet it's probably good for cardio and adrenaline with all that steering and intensity. It could work up a sweat.
That is part of it, but training mostly focuses on ensuring the core muscles are strong. The neck and shoulders especially get the biggest brunt of driving a racecar. It's not as harsh as the atmosphere of F1 where you actually do need a fighter pilot's training regime to even get there.

It is basically being an astronaut in 100 plus degree race care going around a track for 3 hours and trying to have the mental ability in knowing when to brake and accelerate.

NASCAR is basically like sitting in LA traffic with no air conditioning but increase the amount of Gs applied to your body.

Also, is anyone else familiar with the NASCAR cartoon where they had to give the cars cool powers because otherwise it would have been too boring for kids?

Nothing will beat the comic book Racewarriors.

Christopher Bell makes it double for Texas. I might sound like a soy but Connor Zilisch seemed like we was doing well moving up places even edging at the top 10 before colliding with Daniel Suarez. 18 Years old and making a debut to cup, Trackhouse must see the potential in this kid huh? He even helped win the 24 hour Rolex at 17 like wtf haven't I heard about this dude?

I don't know how you haven't heard about him. Kid is fast in everything he gets in, his ability to maximize traction under braking is fucking unreal.
