Nebula / Standard Broadcast LLC - A Creator-Owned Streaming Service

Oh look, more Nebula ballwashing. It's a barely disguised promo piece, but my favorite bit:

She is a professional journalist and never heard of an ad blocker? And does anyone really ever think "hmmmm, how can I pay for something I'm already getting for free?"

Nebula's target audience is too retarded to use an ad blocker.

That's the true irony of Nebula. It markets itself as "Netflix for smart people who like video essays" but it turns out actual intellectuals don't watch any of the Nebula creators' content due to people with an IQ above room temperature immediately clocking said content as factually incorrect liberal horseshit. Hence, why Nebula is a laughing stock over on the Historian subreddit (specifically the one that has mods verify diplomas to prove if posters are actual, college educated Historians).

In today's Nebula News:

Nebula's token antisemitic troon Jessie Gender is here to remind everyone that Nebula creators, for the most part, hate the Jews Israel:

Jessie Gender conveniently left out the second part of said Twitter post..."it" celebrating October 7th:

Like I've said previously on this thread - as an actual redskinned Native American, I really wish all those genderspecial Troons for Terrorism put their anti-settler colonialism money where their mouth is and skedaddled back to Europe. The radical Marxist ideology of Breadtube isn't indigenous to North America, nor is Islam.

In other news, Nebula's Reddit sub has been relatively dead lately. Barely anyone is liking the posts promoting Nebula's upcoming Amy's Dead-End Dreamhouse. I guess the CEO doesn't have any money left for Reddit bots? It's especially noticeable when compared to Jet Lag (the only property on Nebula anyone gives a flying fuck about):

They won't, because they actually hate Native Americans. I've never seen a single leftist address the problems on reservations with alcoholism, spousal abuse, lack of good jobs. Also I think last election the. Republicans swept up a lot of. Feathers support.

How do you feel about the "two-spirit" bullshit that is trending right now with young liberal natives and people that belive they are?
It's disgusting cultural appropriation (nearly all identifying "two spirits" online are white troons) & most importantly: literally made up:
Two-spirit’ was a new term deliberately created at a 1990 native American lesbian and gay gathering in Canada, mainly to replace an old, colonial, homophobic term ‘berdache’ which originally meant a ‘kept boy’. It has not been universally accepted by traditional communities (who are happy with the words they already have in their languages), although they prefer it to ‘berdache’. Not a mention of trans.
TLDR, it's psuedo-history nonsense purposely misconstruing warlike Plains Indian tribes historical cultural acceptance of single/unmarried/widowed women. Tribes who frequently engaged in warfare accepted single women/gave them property rights 'cause - shocker, said tribes tended to have a higher female to male ratio, on account of men frequently dying in war. & not all tribes did this - some just practiced polygamy.

Actually, Native Americans nearly always vote Republican - on account of the vast majority of Native Americans living in Oklahoma, one of the reddest states in the country (uh, no pun intended). The statistic only became noticed within the last election, when MAGA fans started bragging to Democrats about Trump winning over minorities.

It's totally nostalgia clouding my vision as it so often does. I like the song and I think that Todd in the shadows sounds like he's bitching about the typical shit a hipster would. Hipsters these days are as annoying as they've ever been, throwing around the same tired old words like they're magical spells that somehow make a musician or their songs worthless. "Sell out", "Industry plant", blah blah blah.

The show must go on, nigger. With or without you.

Sometimes, I find myself having to take a moment and wonder how we got here upon realizing that Todd is one of the biggest names on YouTube and maybe other online circles when it comes to talking about music.

It's just the natural phenomena of "sounding like you know what you're talking about".

A lot of people online do not double check shit people say unless they hate them. If you like someone, you like what they have to say even if it's something halfassed or straight up false. Mix this with some actual knowledge of what you're talking about along with your bullshit, and people will go to the moon and back to defend what you have to say and to support what you're putting out. It's why pseudo smart guys like Hbomberguy, Anthony Fantano, and Pirate Software pre controversy form have such rabid defenders and it's why they saw success.

Snake Oil salesman as literally everybody on this website knows still exist. They never went away. They just picked a new grift to sell.

Factor food delivery & Surfshark VPN? 🤔

I kid. On a serious note (& at risk of earning myself a Easter Island sticker...), I theorize that the Breadtube video essay-verse is so popular (despite being full of nonsensical error filled information) is mostly due to the general decline of Western education/we live in a society where a frightening amount of the population lacks basic critical thinking skills. If a Youtube video essayist just says something in a semi-authoritarian manner (i.e. Climate Change will kill everyone on Earth by 2035) a large percentage of their audience will automatically believe it. Students weren't taught to think in schools, they were taught to memorize & repeat back government approved talking points.

I don't know when they phased it out. Slight power level, I graduated in the 20 teen era and during both middle school and high school, we had specific mandatory classes that was all about double checking sources, writing papers, and trying to make arguments for and against certain political issues. I'm not gonna suck my own dick here and say that I'm super thorough with my research, but I know I double check shit more often than the current normie.

It's one of the reasons I ended up on the farms first as a lurker than as an actual user. I wanted to double check something about some random drama on youtube, and here I am.

I agree that the school system is flawed and it only teaches students to regurgitate information leaving only the overachievers with actual usable info but for a moment we were educated on how to actually research shit. I think it's a mixed bag of what you said, a lack of critical thinking, and also what I said, that once you start liking an "influencer" you get influenced by what they say enough to not be constantly double checking them.

My history professor and English professor were actually very insistent on teaching people how to properly research things. My favorite thing is when he smacks someone down about the Civil War being completely about slavery. Keep in mind I live in the Northeast.

Is there a way to watch these retards for free? A personal lolcow of mine has an exclusive vid on Nebula that I'm dying to see (but not in a $40 a month way).
I only checked if their "original movies" were on the usual sites and they are. They're pretty easy to find. For the regular degular shit, I think unless we get a kiwi to shill money, we ain't seeing that shit and quite frankly would we even want to put down 40 bones for the thread where we'll most likely say, "wow! That was fucking stupid" and nothing else?

Yeah, but Dominic Noble reviewed all the original Oz books on there. Where else can I see a British midwit (or midbrit) scratch his head at Victorian esoteric allegory? There's some wacky stuff in those books (like a girl who becomes a boy) that would make for grade A milk *sigh*

Is it actually $40 a month now? I remember it being $5. They must be getting desperate.
