Seems as good a thread as any to ask

Is Man Carrying Thing considered to be a breadtuber? I'll occasionally watch some of his videos and he shills his Nebula constantly but it wasn't until his recent really uncharitable Critical Drinker video that the mask seemed to slip off to me that he's a faggot. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Critical Drinker.

Yeah, but Dominic Noble reviewed all the original Oz books on there. Where else can I see a British midwit (or midbrit) scratch his head at Victorian esoteric allegory? There's some wacky stuff in those books (like a girl who becomes a boy) that would make for grade A milk *sigh*
Man I might almost split that with you having recently read the original 3 oz books myself.

And it's book 2. the reveal is that the boy you have been following for the whole time is in fact the original princess of Oz who was disguised by magic. She is restored to being a girl at the end.

double checking, no it's not. I just went with what @Haffhart said. It is $6 a month or shilling out $60 for the full year.
Whoops sorry. $6 plus the headache of cancellation might be worth it. $60 for a year of uncensored video essays is extortion though.

Well he's not funny because his jokes are too wordy... and he talks about books... and his hair- oh no, I think you're right.

I would consider him Breadtube adjacent, his gimmick is usually making milktoast current trending thing joke although my first alarm and thing that made me immediately unsubscribe was a video openly chillin Nebula, now he just had his mask off moment when he decided to go after the critical drinker

The ad he did for that Nebula show at the end was fucked. How can you shill for that Dreamhouse show and not want to die inside? It looks like shit for manchildren.

So a recent Reddit thread on the Nebula subreddit has revealed an interesting fact about Nebula's finances (archive):

Don't quote me on this, but doesn't that mean Nebula operates like a pyramid scheme? 🤔 I.e. Nebula creators are mostly paid based on how many of their fans they can get to sign up with their sign up links...? Uh, that doesn't sound right (I thought Nebula was founded by a kindhearted socialist commies who don't care about profits & are only interested in paying content creators their fair share? 🙄)

TLDR News (who replied to the thread) confirms that its Nebula revenue has hit rock bottom - so that must be the case? (weirdly they seem to dance around the fact - maybe they signed a non disparagement agreement?)

Interesting, it seems that the game was good when they where piggybacking off Discovery through the curiosity stream bundle but now things are getting dire without help from a major corpo and DEI checks stopping from being thrown under the door

There’s something oddly poetic about the free market causing breadtubers to leave a collective

It's weird paper skies is on there because he bashes commies in pretty much every video.

On a side note anyone got an archive of his paywalled ones?
Eh, Nebula hasn't had a genuine commie involved for quite some time - since they kicked Second Thought & his ilk off the platform for hating Jews (*allegedly - let me emphasize, despite scouring Reddit & Twitter, I never actually found any evidence of Second Thought's antisemitic indiscretion)

On the topic of Nebula-ites hating the Jews, Jacob Geller released a Nebula video arguing that the Nuremberg Trials were a bad idea, 'cause the Nazis were just following orders, & *checks notes* punishing Nazis just encouraged Jews to become bloodthirsty & kill Palestinians? 🙃 Uh....

Nebula has become such a bizarre trashhole of knock-off Nick Fuentes-level antisemitic video essays. No wonder Nick Fuentes recently hid his content archive behind a paywall and is now charging 10 bucks a month for access (or a 100 if you want to join a chat room where you can send Nick thirst-trap DMs).

"Gaming". GAMING. What does his idiot musing on Nuremburg have to do with gaming?! I've been watching Sarah Paine's history videos a lot recently (for free on YT) and one, I'd highly recommend them to anyone with a historical bent and two, after being deluged by video essayists who wholeheartedly believe they are brilliant and opine in the most confident tones about utter bullshit, it's a bit shocking to hear someone speak who actually knows their business. Jacob Geller's opinion of shit that he's watched a few videos about is no more valid than my opinion based on a few other videos, so who gives a shit?

Nebula isn't for smart people, it's for people more convinced by tone than quality of content. Hubris is not a metric of value.

there's something so gross to me about thinking the dreck you vomit into the internet is somehow so valuable that people need to buy a subscription for it. do any of these people have actual credentials or do they just have that goldilocks combination of enough narcissism and charisma to build an audience that actually believes their bullshit has any value? it's a rhetorical question, I already know the answer.

He's done a speed run of Wolfenstein. In the Breadtube world, that's basically a PhD in European History.

It is 100% a psyop.
Probably? But I'd imagine its a non-US, foreign funded psy-op. My long running guess has been Qatar, considering Nebula's large library of video essays proclaiming "Qatar is the bestest country that ever existed". Also, Nebula has an extremely strong, anti-Saudi bias (note: Qatar hates the KSA).

There are no Jews in Scotland :smug:
Jesse Gender just accuses anyone they dislike of being a Jew and/or a "Christian Zionist". Heck, in Gender's latest video essay, it was skitzo ranting about the "Christian Zionist controlled US government secretly changing written history for the evulz/profit". If only Gender weren't a troon - maybe then it'd have the balls to say ZOG, 'cause you know it sure as fuck wants to.

No seriously, Jesse Gender literally made a video claiming Jews (and their Christian Zionist collaborators) are actively working together to hide the Jews' secret Khazer origins, in order to start wars & profit from the slaughter of brown Muslims. Talk about horseshoe theory in action 🤣

can someone explain to me why is this lolocw worthy?
just bc it's breadtube?
A significant portion of Nebula creators (including many founding members, like Lindsay Ellis & her ex, the bag-on-head music guy) are former Channel Awesome members. Nebula is essentially Channel Awesome 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Also, Nebula tends to be where Breadtubers dump their video essays deemed too "spicy" for the Youtube algorithm. & by too spicy, I mean, Candace Owens-level skitzo conspiracy themed video essays with topics they clearly stole from telegram memes. Which leads to Nebula's main problem - if anyone actually wanted to watch an hour & a half long video essay blaming Jews for higher egg prices, they could easily find that content on Rumble for free.

Music guy is Todd in the Shadows.

Otherwise yes. Nebula is CA2, faker and gayer.
