Is there a reason why they're bending over for the troons? I'm new to this, but from where i'm standing, if they have thousands of active users and it's always the same 20 trying to stir shit up, why not just nuke them off the site?

oh man, this also fuckin' owns...resetera shilling for sony, naughty dog which treats its employees like absolute crap and a talentless hack like fuckmann (and being their useful attack dogs vs other big companies like CDPR) has been one of the few things that legit always got on my nerves to no end of what a bunch of brainless slaves they are. I was preparing myself to see TLOU2 win all those awards, but GoT winning this one by a hair in the end absolutely rules, since I heard it's a p cool game and will likely check it out when it goes on sale eventually.

Sure, but he seems to have learned his lesson about that.

I very much get not giving bad actors a pass just because they're the enemies of my enemy, but considering there's no forgiveness or salvation in the Church of ResetEra / SJW, I'm also more inclined to give people the chance to have changed for the better. And considering this thread has been, what, 99.9% ResetEra content even when it's quoting from NeoGAF directly suggests that the crazies leaving after trying to burn it all down have given him a more based perspective.

I don't tend to forget - after all, I'm on the Farms, which is all about documenting shit. But I also try not to hold people's mistakes over their heads if they've seemed to change.

I agree. I am all about forgiveness and multiple chances. To forgive is the antithesis of the REE doctrine, which is all about digging up the past and condemning people over thoughtcrimes. I hope Tyler has learned his lesson about entertaining extremists. Taking a hit to revenue and having "HE'S A REEPIST" in ever journo headline should be damaging enough.

On the optimistic side, his site seems to be livening up over being the place where you can talk about how pretty or buggy a game is without everyone else thinking it's a personal conspiracy against them.
