God damn if you are on phone/mobile, it is brutal and annoying to have to scroll past that 1200-word disclaimer on every single page of the Cyberpunk OT.

At the same time, scrolling past that trash makes it all the more satisfying to see that everyone in the OT is basically just ignoring it to discuss every single aspect of the game except the one that the disclaimer is endlessly whining about it.

Kind of depends on what you want in a game. I know I'm going to end up wasting a lot of time just poking around the city - even though I'm just out of the intro the setting seems alive. Not sure where the other paths start out but the area my apartment is in with Street Kid path is pretty oppressive, but has a soul. A rotten, dirty, rathole of a slum soul. Can't say much about the quality of the story, but first impressions is that the world building is top notch.

Not that the thread on this site for the game us much better than what's going on at reeera with all of the "I'm not paying for the game because the women aren't hot enough!" crap that's gone on for two years. Two sides of a coin, I guess.

If you want a game where you can autistically practice facial expressions in any mirror you pass this is the game for you.

Hacking a security camera, marking dudes so you can see them through walls, hacking their grenades and then watching them fumble around trying to get rid of them when you trigger them and failing is fun and they can't deny it even though games aren't supposed to be fun anymore.

Definitely more gun than watching some implausible muscled bimbo beat a well-liked character to death with a golf club for flimsy reasons.

They literally focused on one tiny bit of content and a tweet from years ago. And demanded it be changed. And when it wasn't, unlike in their previous whining campaigns, they completely lost their shit. They're supposed to be able to make insane demands and have them be honored every single time, no matter how deranged.

They were basically told to go fuck themselves, they threw a screeching tantrum, and the game is going to go on to make a billion dollars despite their unhinged rage.

I'd say not getting to the end of the TV commercials in the ingame apartment and letting them roll while I make dinner for myself in the kitchen says all it needs to about how much work's been put into building up this world.

speaking of which, lmfao at Resetera's argument that trannies are the only ones overtly sexualized in the game and never the men! gay men are gonna feel right at home here with their own gay bar and plenty of gaudy commercials, don't you worry. in fact, if you find literally frikking any inanimate object under the sun sexually attractive, there's a commercial in this game just for you! so once again, trannies having a massive case of USI - not that that was ever going to surprise me.

Yeah the love and attention to detail that went into this game is bonkers. Coming from Witcher I did not expect the open world to be this beautiful and detailed. Even the driving physics are great. Graphics are insane of course but I am liking everything else as well.

FYI the NeoGAF front page is completely plastered with CP2077 threads while Isamu Fukui is getting butt fucked by Kyujii.

I've played it for about 4 hours. If I didn't know anything about the ResetEra controversy, I would assume that this game would be their Ark of the Covenant. It's over the top woke to the point that I'm not entirely sure where it's being tongue in cheek and when it's up its own ass.
About 20 seconds into the tutorial, the stereotypical old white drill sergeant gets deleted and turned into a bald, sassy black woman that's somehow more annoying than the drill instructor. She calls the military a bunch of fascists, then proceeds to teach you to do exactly what the military was being taught.

I kind of wish CDPR would pull a Nintendo and send a C&D to this project for using something that really looks like their game's logo to farm some more rage. I understand that really isn't the image they want to represent with their company, but can you imagine how pissed they would be?
