I felt really bad for the guy, then I got to the fourth paragraph and began to doubt all of it as the post turns into "teach men not to rape" bullshit.

The rapist knew what he was doing was rape, and even joked about it. A consent class wouldn't have stopped this. If the rapist has dozens of victims, why isn't he in jail? Press charges or sue him for medical bills and damages.

I still can't understand for the life of me how some of this people after apparently being raped ( I say apparently because I wanna give them the benefit of the doubt even if more often than not these are "and then everyone clapped" tier stories) can still believe if someone told their rapist "when they say no you don't put peepee inside okay?" nothing would've happened. I mean they should understand that the thing that makes the rapist enjoy the act is them struggling, it's the whole point, otherwise the minute they went "please no" they would've stopped, right?

I don't even know if I truly buy that they believe that education can stop rape. It has to be some sort of mental cope or something.

If I were being charitable, I would say they're trying to educate about rape for purposes how it's treated in culture. In other words, so that if someone claims to be raped, it's a claim that's taken seriously. Even if it's something like date rape or other "ambiguous" situations.

But it's ResetERA, and they most likely think people can really be "taught not to rape".

1. As a platform that wants to compete with Steam its underdeveloped (it takes time I know, Steam wasn't what we have today Day 1). The timed store Exclusives irks a lot of people. I know that Epic pays a pretty penny for any big game to be there ( example Borderlands 3) and people are either going to pay on Epic or wait for a Steam release. And there is the problem that people want stuff to be "click-and-play" and less open and log in in Origin/Uplay. THe free games are good and all but how long are they going to keep it up?

You know what would make big bucks? A launcher aggregator, kinda like what gog had going on but a step further. You can see offers/sales for the games in different platforms simultaneously to help you get better prices, you get all your friendslist coalesced into one, you don't need to open 20 launchers just have one that pops the games up and when you close the game it autoshuts the launcher down, etc. I bet other launchers would even help out since an aggregator is basically free publicity of their sales/events and you could get funded by em with some sort of 10cents per sale linked from your launcher kinda stuff.

If anyone here makes big money out of it you're welcome.

You're not the only one who felt that way, most of us did at the time. I remember my friends and I had both steam and xfire. Xfire was legitimately better back then. Steam still kind of blows today but it's miles ahead of it's competition which speaks to how bad they are.

It's still easier than piracy. No matter where I am, no matter what system I'm on, I can just download Steam, log in, and have every game I ever bought, click a button, and play it. That's actually better than what was available before Steam.

The only education that has any chance of stopping rape is self-defense classes. Like, teach kids that it's okay to hurt someone badly if they try to sexually assault you. A lot of rapists are cowards who would be discouraged if there was a significant risk of having their eyes gouged out by potential victims.

This I don't understand. Steam requires an internet connection, access to an authenticated email or phone, and fat enough pipes to download whatever you want to play in a reasonable time. Those are low requirements, but not as low as:

• a portable drive
• a usb or esata port

Whether wares or warez, I can't see how steam is easier than a locally saved collection.
