To Hecht's defence, he seems like an asshole but he is technically correct here.
GDRP only covers PII and GDRP does NOT say a site must delete all content of a user.
Only all PII for that user, which will absilutely not be all the posts, and normally it will be virtually none of the users post.
OR the if they allow the user to edit and remove the PII of his own posts, then that may be enough to be compliant.


Now, laughing at the user and preventing the user from deleting his threads could be a breach of GDRP
IFF the user wanted to delete a ppost of his own that contained PII.
That is very unlikely but a theoretical situation.
I no case does GDRP mandate that the user should be allowed to delete the whole thread, including other peoples posts that do not contain PII.


Anyway, it is irrelevant. As with any tos or legal regulation. You could be right, but is it really worth tens of thousands (minimum) dollars of legal fees to fight it in a court? Is it really worth it that much to delete the threads?



Much more interesting will be when/if MOBA tells faggot admin that they must revive some imflammatory posts faggot admin has deleted because MOBA wants to drive "engagement". Will faggot admin still pretend "we will not delete content if it is against the interest of the siteowner"?
I don't think so, as he is a faggot hippoclit, as soon as MOBA wants something undeleted he will throw a fit and threaten self harm or something equally faggotry. Especially if it is some tarded post that one of his toxic friends in his clique has made and wants forgotten. In that case it will be 100% fine to delete posts and calls to have them undeleted are wrong.

What’s a “halal restaurant”? I’m Muslim and I don’t know what she’s talking about. Halal is a set of dietary restrictions, not a cuisine. I thought progressive leftists were supposed to care about getting their labels right?

And the conclusion is that Mestre and his family are deeply embarrased and will never again invite his crazy student to come to dinner with him or his family again.

I've said it earlier but this will 100% be the excuse coprorate uses to get rid of Nepenthe sometime in 2022 when they start making their move to replace the degenerate troons. She can try to delete the posts but its a shame that some website has documented everything for posterity. Hating a group of people is not congruent with company values and SEO optimization, and this "you can't be racist against wypipo" may have worked when this wasn't a for-profit forum but now that's not going to fly with the (probably white) men upstairs.

Would be interesting to see when she figures this out and tries to retrace her steps though. Wonder if she already has.
