as far as i know lifting that mandate is pretty much universal for all companies, i work from home but the very large company i work for has recently announced the exact same thing for their offices

Why are they saying they're being asked "to die for this company"? Is there some reason they can't get vaccinated? Is there some reason the part in the e-mail saying they can negotiate working from home doesn't apply to them?

Some in the thread seem to be arguing that nobody should have to ever go in to work ever again and that it's not just greed but outright hatred of employees who the employers want to punish causing this.

To be fair, going to work in an office when your job is 100% doable from home is really gay and old fashioned. Resetera users likely get forced back into the office because their bosses don't trust them to not troon out all day on twitter.

There's just some weird subset of people that absolutely do not want to let go of pandemic restrictions. Eating at a restuarant is "risking your life". Going to work at your office is "being asked to die". I was supportive of all the safety measure before, but don't really see the point of them now. If vaccinated people can still contract and spread the virus, then what good is a vaccine mandate anyway?

Every place you go online there are nuanced discussions about the Slap incident... except on Resetera. They stan Smith hard and think Rock deserved it, and shout down anyone who sees otherwise. It's incredible to watch in action.

The echo chamber effect is in full force in all related threads. Never seen anything like it. And damn, I've seen a lot of bullshit.

Right now it's down because of the Path threat but it was recently back into the cycle where it breaks a little every so often. The creator has moved onto other projects but I know myself and some other people would be happy to help with the maintenance type stuff whenever this happens. I'll probably see about getting in contact when it comes back up rather than just tagging him in this thread.
