There's also a really good chance (in my mind, I argue it in the shooting thread) that the firearm has been sitting under someone's mattress for close to 40 years so it probably wasn't purchased recently, he had an unregistered homemade suppressor, the gun is outright banned for transfer or ownership in CA, all his magazines were over legal capacity, he illegally concealed the weapon and probably traveled through multiple restricted gun zones, etc. Every single thing about his firearm and actions that day were in violation of laws that carried heavy penalties, and they had 0 influence on the outcome. People that are gonna call it a gun control issue are genuinely retarded.
