Basically, his objection seems to concern why people would bother to post public information about members of NeoGAF, as he sees that is merely a pretext to harass them for being a member of NeoGAF.
My response is included, but now I'm starting to see what has my commenter in the defense of NeoGAF's membership is so up in arms, as they feel simply by the posting of that information, it puts the members of NeoGAF in jeopardy, despite my pointing out the mere posting of that information has no moral context unless an illegal act takes place as a result of it.
If we want to argue whether it MORAL to do so, I had a lunatic try to dig up my publicly accessible information once, intending to hand it to people who sought not only my humiliation, but also my physical harm.
The former is not a concern for me. It's not illegal. It may not be moral, but it breaks no laws. The line should be drawn on information being used in the pursuit of physically harming another person, which is both illegal and immoral, but if I'm reading these objections right, LamoreVero would rather the former be regarded as being illegal even though it isn't, irregardless whether it's moral to do.
