You got me. Reddit, Gamefaqs, and even NeoGAF are far better alternatives for gaming forums. Those places can actually discuss games without the fear of getting banned for disagreeing with a mod's opinion about a game or person (Kingdom Come: Deliverance, for example, triggered the shit out of ResetERA's mods).

Yeah, not the repeat like a broken record, but this particular subject baffles me beyond throwing my hands in the air and just going "They must actually be of this worldview". When GAF was having its meltdown, migrants to other sites and forums thought every site that told them to keep the politics to themselves or fuck off was too far right or whatever. Literal nazi websites.
They WANTED this. They WANTED ResetEra. Now they have it, and some may love it, some may hate it and realize the mistake they made, but either way it's too late now. ResetEra is set in stone. It's a thing. And the people running it are crazy as fuck. Whoever is still sticking around either genuinely believes in some facet of it, or feels like they don't have a choice or it's ban time. I'd hate to imagine what it must feel like to feel stuck in ResetEra.

"Ignorance of history?" As far as female combatants in WWII goes, there were spies, Russian snipers (even then, only a limited number), and resistance fighters. It was never even close to the extent that Call of Duty WWII or Battlefield V portray.
It's OK to like the female soldiers, but it's not being ignorant of history to note how historically inaccurate they are.

You forgot about the Night Witches or the various Red Army tank commanders who were women. On a less salubrious note, there were female SS troopers guarding the concentration camps as well.
Still, the idea that WWII was a bastion of gender equality is a fiction.

One of the things noted in George Orwell's 1984 was that the Party couldn't openly say they were demanding history be whatever they wanted it to be without exposing themselves as inconsistent and fallible, and thus that there was any version of the truth aside from their own, or they would render themselves impotent to be taken seriously.
This is just proof why that has to be the case.

KCD was a AA title, a semi indie game. Middle shelf if you will. Battlefield is backed by Electronic Arts and therefore has lawyers and marketing.
