Like a lot of left wing sites, they're celebrating the death of Roger Ailes. Besada says if you find their behavior disrespectful, you should leave the thread since a monster is dead.
They're also really happy to find out Voat is in its death throes (through a Kotaku sister site, of course). In possibly the easiest "this is why Voat is right" move, the moderators lock the thread.
I know gaffots aren't smart but do they think if Voat dies they won't be the butt of jokes anymore? Neofag's userbase will just move to another site. Their recent paranoia about Voat is hilarious. Even if the person has shown no signs of being from there, going against the approved opinion has people acuse you of being a Voat alt. No normie has heard of it. It's never used as a breaking news source. There's no other big sites directly attached to it (like Reddit and Imgur). It's really easy to ignore.
