Because the people who still say 'colored person' are old people that probably look back on segregation fondly.

Although it begs the question, how do you characterize or identify someone by their skin tone \race without sounding, well, racist? "Person of color" will eventually be bad. But you've gotta be able to do it otherwise you can't claim to be a 'POC' on twitter so that everyone has to listen to you.

You know, I think there would be actual sociopolitical merit in studying the history of forums like these and comparing it to the rise of autocratic regimes. The emphasis of ideology and purity, capricious mod actions, etc. Especially in how a "strongman" seizes control and then doles out authority.

No, non-white racists view their own race as superior to white people, but all other non-whites outside their race as a few tiers below whites.
