If this is a gay man/men doing vigilante action for the hundreds of Muslims stopping schools teaching LGBT will Resetera suddenly be for vandalism? ?

When Antifa smash up storefronts to take down capitalism it's progress. Gay men taking down the anti-LGBT Muslims mosques?

Yeah this is without a doubt related to the school incident. I highly doubt a white conservative has much of an issue with this. I mean sure, they might not be super fond of muslims, but I highly doubt they are opposed of the idea of banning LGBT from schools. More likely that it's either Antifa/similar, or possibly a false flag (which I doubt).

Fahrenheit 451 was about much more than just book burning by a pernicious government. It was more about how television and the banal and empty content it brought with it would create a populace that did not wish to be intellectually or emotionally challenged and would gladly ask for their government to burn books or anything else that might make them feel uncomfortable. The book burning was just symbolic of this attitude.

People always argue whether it would be Orwell's 1984 or Huxley's Brave New World that is more prophetic. Although there are some obvious similarities of each in society today, I think it was Bradbury who managed to catch the best glimpse of where the future was headed.
Well of course, those books had a lot to say, and a running theme was the cooperation of most of the population. It's just... I dunno, maybe ironic, that a book whose main character is a "fireman" whose job it is to burn books, is getting called alt-right by people who wish to censor stuff and get rid of "problematic" stuff from the past. It's further irony that this group claims to be worried about "nazis" when the nazis famously burned problematic books.

Personally, I believe 1984 was the most prophetic of all of them. I just wasn't sure what brave new world was even trying to say. Fahrenheit 451 similarly had a lot of other stuff going on, besides the commentary on an authoritarian government. 1984 was really centered around the authoritarianism, the people who enable it, and the terrifying power of just changing history and facts. That one stands out to me, because we see people doing that now, reframing past events, trying to erase certain aspects of history, and trying to prevent "bad" speech.

Unfortunately, 1984 was probably the driest of those books as well, and I think the writer's style put a lot of people off it. So I completely understand when people say they tried to read it and couldn't get through it.

Oh I have more...

"Why is white nationalism on the rise!? We must do something about it!"

"Fuck you white people, the future is brown!"

These retardERA fags are too dumb to know that their ideology and ideological allies are the ones making white people feel the need to band together in "white nationalist" identity.
If these idiots actually try to go tard vengeance and try to start a race war do they really think the average person will side with them? There’s this tiny sliver of the population at the extreme left and everyone else is a “literal Nazi” in their opinion.

What is it with the left and wanting to import as many street shitters as possible? Stats show that importing many low skilled people who don't assimilate increases crime, terrorism and gives you results like Birmingham where the Muslim minority grows and stops schools LGBT teaching. They take over. The host country dies/gets poisoned.

The ordinary person doesn't like living around their own culture collapsing and being taken over. Freedoms eroded.

I think you'll find no one is complacent, host countries are fighting back and the source of "evil and bigotry" is now the street shitters who don't want to do anything to adapt to the superior culture they get into. They aren't properly vetted and most of the time are illegals.

If you import a lot of Islam, your country changes a lot. For the worse. Ordinary people want proper immigration control so that only those deserving get in.

Complicit? Yes, complicit in trying to protect their society.

It never ceases to amaze me we have a far-left forum full of troons and gay men and they are absolutely desperate to import as much of one of the most intolerant people on the planet. Say what you want about Christians/Catholics and beliefs, it amounts to mean words on Twitter.

The street shitters threaten and force. If we didn't care about our societies we'd allow them all in, pile them in, get as many as possible and then watch the troons and gay men, then women in general, be raped, pillaged, killed and threatened.

The joke is that Baudet and Hiddema are still pretty leftist compared to any american politician (barring maybe Yang).
They don't deny climate change, they simply feel that homeowners don't have to be compelled to demolish their homes to insulate it better on the pain of having condemned. They also feel that the EU is dealing NL a very poor hand in many treaties and that the results of referendums should be enforced alongside other more direct democratic measures (elected mayors, open job listings for appointed governmental jobs). I'm not even an FvD shill (voted Communist, and i'm a closeted royalist) but can't fucking stand burgers and limousine leftists acting like they know other nations better than it's denizens do.

We don’t want them either. The entire planet is having to tiptoe around the fragile self-esteem of a handful of spoilt brats headquartered in two cities who think they’re smart enough to redesign the entire world but think food comes from the grocery store.

I like the "democracy doesn't work" bit, it's a very fascist thing to say and it's not the first time I've seen a left-wing person echoing those feelings. Their inability to accept that their brand of craziness isn't particularly liked is astonishing, there's nothing they can do except rebrand and restart with a more palatable message. Since that would be troon genocide, they can't do that and here they are literally making up culprits for their failure.

I'm more offended that the poster assumed the persona of Daria.

Are these people for real?

Aldous Huxley was not "alt-right" in any way or form whatsoever and you'll know this if your read his work and if these idiots actually spent the time to read his books.

If anything this shows that PewDiePie is smarter than these dumbshits knowing the fact that he read the books from those authors and understand the message of what the authors were leaving in their books.

It's good to know that PewDiePie did at least introduce books like 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley to his young audience so that they can check out these books for themselves and won't become dumb like these idiots over at ResetEra that still treat Harry Potter like a political novel series when Harry Potter will never be as good as the works of Aldous Huxley in general.

Here's the video in question where PewDiePie talks about those books and he gives his opinions on them.

I'll have to watch this when I get home, but if Pewds is promoting classic literature my opinion of him just skyrocketed.

These are some exceptional people. Absolutely fucking exceptional.

Books are alt-right!
I'm just going to assume even he's not retarded enough to just be straight up saying 'reading is for nazis', and is trying to accuse the alt-right of putting up a big show of reading books to look intellectual. Which is still pretty funny, seeing as how internet commies love to throw up the smokescreen of 'read x, it's not my job to educate you'.

I hope gays in the UK start pushing back hard against this shit. They spend decades fighting for rights and recognition in society and now it's being rapidly eroded to make room for a bunch of homophobes who think their religion is an excuse to act like imperialist pigs. Just another reason I'm glad I live in the US.

In case anyone lurking in this thread feels like responding to this lad on their Era accounts:

Here’s your update, buried in her announcement of heart machine’s new garbage game. The game she’s been “writing” for.

It's easy to see shades of 1984 everywhere since technology makes it so much easier to track everyone, but I believe that it's had a far great democratizing effect than it has a suppressive one, at least in the West. Even as much as YouTube or other video providers try to clamp down on people they don't like for political reasons, there's just too many for it to be humanly possible to stop it all and the algorithms just aren't good enough. The mainstream media is constantly being exposed and people are leaving in droves. I also think that 1984 is the easiest to see as coming true because it's the most straightforward.

Brave New World has a lot going on, but my take was that it explores how a lack lack of adversity leads humanity to mindless escapism through pleasure seeking behavior. This in turn erodes individuality which is expressed in the stratified caste system where humans are just clones of each other and lack any distinct characteristics. Any of the characters who do express any shred of individualism are alienated and miserable. It's a very clean and shiny society where everyone can take drugs and be happy, but it's really just unadulterated hell from our perspective. It has some of the same tones as Fahrenheit 451, but I think that the way Brave New World presents itself isn't as prescient in terms of how humanity arrives at that shared point.

With 1984, it's a controlling government that attempts to control people, and China certainly looks the part, but it's the same kind of communistic entity that Orwell was writing about. The west has not succumbed to such a fate and the characters in the story were trying to resist that government control. In Huxley's novel, humanity is too far gone to redeem and is its own prisoner. The government doesn't need to control them, since they control themselves. Bradbury's world is a mixture, but it's still ultimately the people who are prisoners to their own selves, as evidence by the ending where humanity comes to its senses.
