They've already got a heaping of guilt by association, where merely being in the same room as someone they regard is tainted is enough to make you just as bad. They've also got full Red under the Bed paranoia, because they think anyone and everyone could potentially really be a dangerous wrongthinker, they just don't know it yet; all they have to do is scrutinise every single word and action, and soon enough they'll find a slip-up that will prove that the person should be purged.

And here they've got the usual suspects routine down, where anyone in a certain group - in this case, straight white men - are automatically presumed guilty, and the only way they can even attempt to prove their innocence is by attempting to completely deny who they are and do everything they're demanded to. It won't be enough, it will never be enough, they're still guilty and always will be - but they just might put them at the bottom of the list to be expunged if they make enough of the right noises and make sure to always kowtow to the people in charge.

Only problem for ResetEra is, they're not in charge. And the forum is more than enough evidence to show that they should never be in charge of more than a fruit bowl. It's nicely ironic, considering how many LARP as communists, how closely they're mimicking the people who hunted the commies back in the day, though.
