Sorry to keep posting screenshots, but this just floors me. I have no idea how any of these people are breathing without the aid of a machine. On top of that, the way they turn on each other instantly and attack each other - why the hell would anyone want to sign up there? It boggles the mind.

AFAIK the whole reason NeoGAF/ResetERA became a thing at all was because there were a bunch of confirmed western game developers posting there years and years ago, so you could join and rub elbows with actual game developers. But almost all of them have long since moved on, some even being banned or chased out for wrongthink, so now it's just a containment facility for the craziest assholes on the internet who don't even seem to play video games at all.
The truly perplexing thing is, ResetERA has rules about registration where you have to use a college or workplace email just to join, effectively doxxing you. And considering that shithole has a habit of overblowing absolutely everything with self-righteousness (as you're now discovering), you can imagine their total lack of scruples in phoning your employer to tell them how, you, specifically you with your full name and email address, are a dirty horrible racist because you didn't think a straight white couple in some movie was problematic.
It's hard to even get mad at them, because these people are just completely fucked in the head insane. They do not think like you and I do. Imagine being in such a terrible headspace that you can not watch anything,
anything, without combing through every little detail, looking for the slightest thing to screech about and bully others with on Twitter. Remember when Joker was released in Smash Bros.? One of the articles that circulated, written by Laura Kate Dale (who is a transtrender) for Kotaku, which claimed one of the songs had an "ableist" slur? Imagine the headspace needed to find that. That lunatic had to comb through every little bit of detail in that entire release, including listening to the music, only to find some subtle background line that sounded vaguely like the word "rétarded". Except, it didn't say "rétarded" at all, because the singer had a heavy Japanese accent. Did the troon get called out for being racist for not considering that? Not to any effective capacity. But let it be known, Laura Kate Dale is a racist against the Japanese.
