God forbid a game slightly deviates from the dogma of "Believe all women" there's no chance a woman might lie about sexual assault, that never happened and if you say it did you're a sexist pig
Aren't these the people preaching us about diversity and how important different cultures and people are to make a game, why do they seethe and dilate over the fact they have a different culture and treat these social issues differently and with less "political correctness?"

Most of them know it’s bullshit and are gaslighting themselves into believing Sakurai is the Johnny Rebel of gaming to avoid getting banned.

Same goes for all the “anti-Blackness in Smash” claims. They work themselves into a frenzy over imaginary offenses. The only one that has even a shred of credibility is the Diddy Kong thing, and that’s (at worst) more Japs being Japs than anything related to hatred or prejudice.

I'm late and gay fashionably late and everyone moved on from this but I wanted to hammer this point in and say that Bayonetta's designer, who got called a terrible mysogynist for designing her as a "fighting fucktoy" only pleasing to the male gaze way back then is Mari Shimazaki, a woman who explitcitly said Bayonetta is her ideal of an empowered, sexy woman. Not that this inconvenient detail mattered to people the criticizing her. You may now give me the late ratings.
