You care about your "good-faith self-diagnosis" so much that you don't seem to believe bad-faith self-diagnosis is possible. That demonstrates a complete disregard for the victims of such things. Which quite frankly consists of previously mentioned women and children monsters wish to prey on, but also the lonely men and women bullied into a dead-end lifestyle by trans groups.

Japan considers degenerate perverts a major problem and they know that allowing self-diagnosis would immediately lead to abuse by countless creeps.

To answer your earlier question more broadly. ResetEra loves games journalism until disagree with them or cause problems.

They love Jason Schrier, but as a jew he occasionally commits wrong think when it comes to Isreal and Palistine. One of the biggest Ls Kotaku took was when they posted underage Harry Potter and Pokemon porn in one of their articles. I think that was on Jason's watch.

Journalists are above criticism, so much so they will delete evidence of past wrongs when ResetEra will happily cancel people for less.

Some journalists are verboten. Sophnar, Colin Moriarty, and Digital Foundry are not allowed to be linked to or discussed. Colin's crime was posting a Tweet saying "Peace and quite" during the a-day-without-women hashtag, but he's also a milquetoast centre right guy, which I think was his real crime.
