NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

Ayyy, Incelsiorlef is back! I cordially invite all trans people who are upset about this to really make themselves heard. Make sure the public cannot turn away. I'm sure that the more visibility trans people have, the harder it will be to turn public opinion against them!

Well, I suspect Africa is so economically developed because they're a skinny little butt-baby hobgoblin that spends all their time on fursuits, Lucio fanfic and jannying the most dyfuntional, hostile forum on the web.

Oh wait no, that's why Nepenthe, personally, is economically underdeveloped.

Face filter turned up to 11 million.

Era sperging and calling out the congress tranny as a traitor.

What they fail to realize is that the "tranny invading womens spaces" is now an actual issue that Democrats are losing material support from the electorate on.
When even the congress tranny himself understands that "people are tired of tranny shit, let's not get involved and let's not fan the flames" and "this is not the hill I want to die on" that speaks loudly on how the tranny shit is well past its expirey date.

If nothing else it shows how toxic the whole "let the tranny into the bathroom" has become. Era does not understand that the times have changed and
that the congress tranny is not a traitor, he just is able to read the room and wants his political career to survive.

Now, after the election, the democrats and the left in general will drop all the tranny shit and start pretending "I never said 'let the pervert into the girls changeroom'". History is being re-written and the age of tranny-worship is over.

TL;DR: The congress tranny is basically saying "letting trannies into womens restrooms is no longer something worth fighting for. And even better, let's forget we ever did push for that. Let's talk about something else."

Repeat ad nauseam. This is some unholy combination of being too dumb to engage with something that hasn't been adjusted to people with a nonexistent attention span. If the game you are playing is not the most homogeneous shit without any edges, it's soooo dated. Of course, with have the typical modern consumer" I hecking love demakes and demasters". And of course the "I love the game" crowd who clearly does not love the game since they wish to see it changed into something worse. It's so tiresome reading this drivel.
But Yakuza 3 is the most dated game in the franchise at this point? Going from Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2 to the remastered 3 is a huge step down. Even though 4 and 5 are also dated, they're a lot less so than 3. I enjoyed 3 well enough but I'd enjoy a Kiwami myself.

I'm actually reasonably surprised and impressed that the Congress tranny said he intended to do his actual job for the majority who voted for him, many of whom presumably are not trans themselves. Compare to that other troon who literally did nothing but throw constant trantrums and disrupt proceedings to the point he was basically prohibited from doing anything on the floor, rendering him completely useless to his constituents.

I imagine he planned it that way. Just constantly interrupt with pointless shit about gender and how every needs to respect him. But the pushback from Nancy Mace and the fact he did not get his way over the bathrooms probably scared him. I would bet he does fuck all to help people or advocate for their interests. He will just sit on his ass for his term and sulk. Either waiting till he gets voted out/recalled. Or waiting till the democrats get back on their feet before sperging about gender again.

No I'm talking about the Zooey Zephyr retard who was only a state legislator.

The current one has not done any of that shit yet, and isn't even currently in the House. That's in January of next year. That trans already rejected throwing a trantrum and instead resolved to do a job. I can respect that. (But not his pronouns.)

I see, it is hard to keep track of these retards.

Yeah, even as a transphobia enjoyer I must admit McBride's response has been extremely classy. It might have even ended up looking like an L for Nancy Mace, except that enough other troons sent her death threats to make up for it.

The weird thing is how little screeching I've heard about this from all the usual suspects in my circle. These are the same people who went nuts about the "bathroom" ban in NC back in 2016, calling for boycotts of the whole state (remember that?) but now it's utter radio silence. I assume half of them secretly agree with Mace, and the other half are just too tired and defeated to give a fuck.

It's fun to watch these delusional troons drive themselves off a cliff though. My favorite part is the screeching about shit happening on "Trans Day of Remembrance." You'd think one of them would stop to ponder the fact that they have a nationally recognized holiday dedicated to remembering their lower-than-the-general-population murder rate, and wonder if maybe they are not the underprivileged and persecuted minority they think they are? Such spoiled fucking children.

Dated in what sense ? Graphically ? In terms of gameplay ? What could a Kiwami update actually provide for the game that is desperately needed that would justify a Kiwami version ? I myself played 3 after Kiwami 2 and 1. Granted, 3 has some design quirks, like the infamous blocking enemies, but everything else was fine, and I didn't have some mental breakdown because the gameplay is different from something released in the last couple of years. Not only do I see not factual reason for sloppy seconds when the game is by all means playable out of the gate and doesn't need a dissertation to understand and be approachable, but I am also as a matter of principle opposed to this current trend within the industry to "remake" and "remaster" shit all the time. I don't know, I am just tired of meddling with things from the past where in almost all cases it is to the detriment of the game, movie or whatever or if the only reason is that people can't engage with something from the past that has different design conventions.

Honestly, the difference in gameplay between the Yakuza Engine games (1-5 and 0) and the Dragon Engine stuff aside form 7 and 8 are nil. Only the graphics changed noticably, all the fundamentals remained the same, although 5 brought in some nice Quality of Life stuff, like marking substories on the map better.

When ResetERA calls something "dated" they're usually not referring to gameplay. It typically means that it contains content that is "offensive" (such as edgy jokes) to them and lacks radical progressive political propaganda. The Spider-Man 2 PS2 game from 2004 would be "dated" to them compared to the modern soy Spider-Man 2 PS5 game because it doesn't contain LGBT flags around the city and Spider-Man is white instead of mullato. Whether the gameplay contains dated mechanics or not is irrelevant; gameplay in video games doesn't seem to be an actual concern to them. Honestly, I'd be surprised if many of them even play games instead of just bitching about them online all day.

Nah, most enemy healthpools are shorter and brawling system is sped up considerably in the Kiwami games. The most egregious thing about Yakuza 3 is that it drags with its sponge like enemies with too frequent random battles and has a mediocre story. Game pacing is integral to the quality of a game since maintain a good flow of the different mechanics and cutscenes. It a difficult thing to achieve. Kiwami mostly fixed pacing in its first two titles, it should greatly benefit Y3 gameplay wise.

All the games had variable enemy health pools, 3 had the problem of the enemies turtling constantly and some OP bosses, but there isn't as much of a difference as people think between the two generations. I played all the North American releases of the games from the original release of Yakuza through to Lost Judgment, including Fist of the North Star, and the differences are subtle.

1+2 needed a major redo because they were trapped on an old system with no way to buy them, essentially being collectors items. They had issues where you could outright fail sidequests and never get to retry, for example. They also included only english dubs, which most people ended up not liking. 3 is older and outdated than the others at this point, and could use a remake if they really want to, but its no where near as outdated as the first two.

But we all know that Trannyera really wants them to remake it to remove a lot of the "problematic" stuff where trannys chase you and try to rape you a few times.

1 had a dub, 2 was released without. They were also Resident Evil-style realtime characters on pre-rendered backgrounds, so navigating was a major pain, and the first game had attack dog enemies that were almost impossible to deal with, which were thankfully never seen again, and not in Kiwami.

The other weird bit of trivia is that the first two games were among some of the worst cases of Sony not allowing games to use the PS2 HDD that were able to in Japan. Most bigger PS2 games that were released after Final Fantasy XI and the Network Adapter and HDD were released allowed data to be installed on the HDD, which cut loading times tremendously, so devs in Japan tended not to be too concerned about load ties from the disc. In the Yakuza games, this made things extremely tedious, as every random fight needed to load the fighting arena for the area you were in, then to reload the world map once the fight ended. The most egregious example of this screwing things up is Final Fantasy X, where the effect on a battle starting wasn't seen properly outside Japan until the HD Remaster release came out.
