The summer of love was about looting and mayhem; nothing of substance was ever accomplished. The movement allowed a select few leaders of BLM to buy million dollar luxury homes with the charity funds, but that's it.

It also resulted in a bunch of DEI shit in business and cramming black people into media wherever they could fit (and even in places they don't, like various pieces of historical fiction set in Europe). It might have ended up backfiring a bit in the years that followed, but BLM absolutely made an impact on the world.


A Reseteran got recommended Fourth Wing by some people he knows, and he posts a review of it. He's not a fan of how heavily it focuses on sex and romance.

BLM protests were comprised of the following:
  • career activists
  • paid/volunteer protestors working for the DNC (it was an election year)
  • some people who were legitimately upset (and ill informed)
  • opportunists looking to use the chaos to loot and steal
The regular black person was not at these protests. They were busy working or not giving a shit.
