Surprised that the poll goes into a sensible direction, and a lot of responses are levelheaded. The other side is typical resetera brain rot. Games are art ? Reviews are critiques of said art ? Price is not important ? You get nickel and dimmed at every corner if you are a consumer and often buying a worse PRODUCT at release then down the line, disposable income needs to be earned and making an informed purchasing decision is the adult thing to do. Or apparently not. I would love to know what most user on that side do for a living. Are they aware that the awful state of the video games industry is a direct result of pissing away your money for a shit product and dumb consumer behavior ?

If a woman isn't pulling men that are up to her standards, then she needs to make herself more appealing or lower those standards. Probably some combination of the two. Replying to a thread wondering where the men went with a lecture on how they aren't good enough is... I legitimately want to "wow just wow" at it, actually. That, for once, seems like the appropriate response.

It's pretty incredible how ignorant of relatively basic world or regional history many of the most prolific posters in those Iran threads are. They watch Hasan and think this makes them experts on every international topic.

I miss playing Paranoia where every single part of the game ended up with everyone shooting each other, or ratting each other out to The Computer, to the point I repeatedly killed the entire party during the BRIEFING, before the mission even started, sometimes with vast structural damage.

(I always had a rule that one of the R&D items given to every team at the start of a mission was something on the level of a literal pocket nuke with a red button on it with a sticker on it saying "never push this button" and someone always would.)
