Not to mention virtually everyone on every social media platform and gaming forum celebrating their demise.
First, they thought that the world was on the right side of history alongside them, but as soon as they began to emerge from the dumpster fire that was NeoGAF, they learned the cold hard truth that just about all the world was Gamergate, laughing at their demise.

Is this even a unprecedented event? That a popular site simply goes down in flames and is all but gone within 24 hours of an accusation leveled at its owner?

Especially since the "A Hat in Time" devs seem to have told NeoGAF to fuck off and are enjoying great popularity by not courting controversy.
