NeoGAF is relatively dead. A generous estimate would be 33% of pre-ResetEra activity levels, probably closer to 15%.

Im not sure how neofag works but when I look they have threads with thousands tabs in them. Are they old or just some type of inflation? Has Sony and other companies cut ties with Neogaf as well? I know the PlayStation store had neogaf themes and avatars but they are gone now.

NeoGAF never had official ties, but has long rumored to be a shill zone. NeoGAF has burned it reputation in the industry as a "safe space for ultra-consumerism". I think people like Adam Boyes were hardcore into NeoGAF shilling, but he's not even with Sony anymore.

Short answer, they won't.
Long answer they're possessed of the mindset that the only problem with NeoGAF was the pedo mods and everything else was completely perfect so they'll continue to act exactly like NeoGAF did.

If you go back to say, page 40-something you will get your answer to the 1st question: ResetERA is comprised of the worst of the worst of GAF posters & mods.
For the EA thing, if you are extremely politically correct while dissing EA (Which isn't hard to be honest), then yeah.

The guys who founded resetERA could have allowed non biased non politically motivated shit to fly but if the mindset is still SHUTITDOWN.jpeg then it's really a lost cause

Considering his level of demonstrated scruples, I refuse to believe him.
If he had any integrity, he should take a stand, and here's why, based on the crowd he aligned himself with and their inherent hypocrisy.
SJWism takes the idea behind taking an actual stand and substitutes actually giving a shit with the pretension of giving a shit. It's not about your cause, it's about the noise you make braying about it, and as we've seen, RE is filled with everyone from NeoGAF who preached about social ills they decried while committing them in the name of getting their message across, thus betraying themselves.
So as long as he kisses their ass on this and claims to care while still not doing more then making the right noises to pretend to care, he'll get asspatted for it.

It was doomed before it began. You can take the posters out of GAF, but you can't take the GAF out of the posters.
Really, just the fact that ResetEra is being led by many of the mods that turned NeoGAF into the far-left shithole it is today means that the site is doomed to fail. Either the mods get caught up in another controversy that kills the site overnight, or the site eventually becomes a ghost town after the vast majority of the (already small) user base is banned for the dumbest shit imaginable.

I had some small hopes myself, which you can see if you read from page 30 or so (It's a highly entertaining read). But those were quickly dashed when the mod list leaked.
What you're seeing now is what happens when you let the inmates start their own asylum.
I don't blame him for keeping his mouth shut, especially given his employment record.
But I will admit that it's very funny to watch him get hoisted by his own ideology, even for things that he didn't do himself (yet).
Because if it was Gizmodo media that was accused of this, you know that Klepek & co will be chimping out about how the social jistice values are more important than say, Schreier keeping his job.
