Apparently, ResetERA, not happy with alienating devs on this side of the pond, have drawn their crosshairs on a fucking industry legend: Koichi Sugiyama. For the uninitiated, Sugiyama is a fucking legend in both video games and anime who has made the soundtracks of fucking hundreds of works, most notably the Dragon Quest series.

The guy has a legacy that rivals Nobuo Uematsu. He's 87 years old and a fucking highly respected composer. One could make the argument that as a really old professional in a very conservative country, he could be forgiven for some level of wrongthink, but that's thinking with logic, and you know how ResetERA feels about that. Recently, He laughed at an anti-LGBT Japanese politician, so he's obviously both a war crime denier and worthy of death:

I could be wrong, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am, but if you're Japanese and in a social setting and people around you are laughing or are pausing for laughter wouldn't you laughing be expected? Wouldn't you not laughing be rude?

I mean, I know anything less then him flipping a table and defending LBGT culture angrily on national TV would get ResetEra pissed at him. But for everyone else you actually can't derive his feelings on LBGT from this, except to say that he probably didn't feel like defending it that second was the correct thing to do.

I've begun recording reply chain meta-data starting from an actioned post (including anything replied to in that post). This data is parsed into user nodes that connect to other users. The idea is to find patterns of people at the center of the web replying to people who get actioned. It suggest replying to this person, or getting replied to will get you actioned.

Positions aren't really meaningful, it's a physics driven node network so stuff with lots of connections get drawn to the center. You can drag nodes around.

Van Bur3n from the last image would be a candidate for such a person. Yellow dots with lots of blue connections are examples of getting dog-piled. Of course this code is very early and Van Bur3n might just be a false positive in this example.

They've had a vendetta against Sugiyama from way back in the NeoFag days. Long story short the guy's a great composer but also said dumb shit about how the Rape of Nanking never actually happened way back when so ever since Gaf/Era is relentlessly stalking every move he makes for another chance to whine about him (they tend to do this to anyone they don't like which I'm sure you've noticed).
