Anyone know why Skyn3t got banned on gaf/if it's a perm? Was skimming the board here (really don't bother with the place much anymore) wondering if Tyler wasn't casually starting to let the place go to shit again only as a 180 ° housing project for the pedo defense force and noticed the self appointed foreman was gone.

I have no idea what ResetEra's opinion on child porn is. They claim to hate all sexualization, but aren't as zealous with the ban hammer when it comes to cp. They are pro-censorship when it comes to weeb games, but when there's a chance to see a real 15 year old naked they are suddenly clamouring for an uncensored version with not a ban in sight.

Thanks for that. As I said I don't browse over on gaf too much anymore but I clocked him I want to say maybe three weeks ago or so. Seemed like he had volunteered his services to some influx of irritable Senran Kagura fans who made it a point to start shitting the place up over the removal of a mini game by Sony on an upcoming PS4 port of SK Burst Re:Newal called intimacy mode. Seemed particularly lost on him and the rest of them that the reason for the decision was based not so much the player actions in the mode as much the refusal dialogue from the characters you're "interacting" with - which basically put the player into the role of sexually harassing a minor. Skyn3t and crew seemed to think there was nothing wrong with this and Sony had no right to shitcan the mode on their own platform.

Since then anyway I noticed he'd been going around trying noise the place up and stir shit with a bunch of similarly themed assmad threads. Now he's getting avatar bans.. fucking sped lol.

I get the "false equivalency" thing now. It's not about false arguments, it's about false *conclusions*.

They take as axiomatic certain social justice principles like the progressive stack and "mimorities can't be racist". Regardless of what you try to explain, what you argue, what facts you bring, you won't change those core beliefs. It'd be like trying to argue with a devout Christian about whether God exists. You're questioning their basic axioms, so you cannot be right. To them, saying "blacks can be racist" is indiscernible from claiming up is down, hot is cold, 4+4=7, etc.

So when they accuse someone of a "false equivalency", it's not *about* the equivalency itself. You must be wrong, because your conclusion is wrong. They see no need to actually show why any comparisons are invalid. They lead to the wrong conclusion, and therefore they are wrong.

Resetera decides to foam at the mouth blaming Gamers and Gamergate despite the fact that the guy who reported has never really said anything about either of those things? And if anybody pointed that out, you just get sarcastic responses about gamers being oppressed and ethics in taxes. So they had to re-open the thread and are now blaming white supremacists and incels, because Roosh, some sleazy pick-up-artist retweeted and thought it was funny even though the camwhore was white, Roosh brags about banging women, and the guy who reported the camwhore is Asian.

They don't, they just take this as an attack on their "allies" (and it is, given that this has mostly targeted dangerhair SJW "sex work positive" communists) and must defend them. Literally everything past that is motivated reasoning and rationalization.

The big think is that all of there "wow the alt-right are hypocrites" hot takes work both ways. They claim evil gamers want camwhores audited but defend Trump's tax situation, and claim this is hypocritical. Yet they openly support exactly the opposite on both, which is just as hypocritical.
