Checked the ban tracker, over a dozen kills related to celebrity of the week Ronda Rousey being in Mortal Kombat.
Mostly because she posted a sandy hook video once and also because she didn't like that one time the tranny beat the shit out of her.

also which one of you was this?

How slow on the uptake do you have to be to fall for this shit in [current year]? I mean it's fucking idiotic. It's like watching one company after another walk into a meat grinder and think gee, I think we could turn a profit doing that. Who is this stupid?

Not to beat a dead horse but big companies are generally slow and out of touch. This isn't a problem because generally products aren't tied to current fads. But now we have marketing and PR teams who still think they are "down with the kids" when in truth they are 35 and have no idea what "the young people" like. (It's that Overwatch Night, right?) They aren't digging into the nuance of anonymous image boards and forums. They see what is on TV and in their facebook feed.

Add in the previously mentioned infiltration that convince them that there is this huge untapped audience for their product if only they were a little more woke and they are convinced that this is the right move.

A great example, Intel during Gamergate. They were happily advertising on game sites when the backlash happened. "Quick! Pull the ads!", so they did. Then they got smeared in the press. "Quick, announce a diversity initiative!", more backlash. Since they have mostly stayed quiet. I think it's fair to say that intel had zero investment in that fight and were just reacting to things that happened.

I'm not sure what's more tinfoily and exceptional, the "Russians are everywhere!" people or "(((The Jews are everywhere!!!)))" people.
Once upon a time a certain group of people were using both of these claims and indeed declared them to be one and the same...but I guess thats none of my business

Ubisoft is currently going woke thinking it will be a new market segment. They’re basically stupid af and it will cost them.

No one watches the woke streamers, no one cares about the woke influencers. It’s a complete waste of time and money to pander to them.

Ubisoft is heavily subsidized so they won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm still not convinced that there's some age where you are suddenly so stupid that "hey let's tell all our customers they're a bunch of fucking rapists!" looks like a good marketing strategy.

True. But we've seen in stuff from New Coke to Dead Space, there's some degree of "this might alienate X amount of fans, but we can gain demographic Y." or "This got X amount of impressions and Y amount of active engagement on social media!" while failing to mention that SJWs don't buy anything.

Also I think they're subscribing to the idea "There is no such thing as bad publicity" which was famously said before companies came up with the brilliant strategy of attacking their own consumers.
