Gather round for a tale of ethics in moderation

So I'm not coming at this thread with venom or malice, just a genuine curiosity from a singular person's personal perspective... But does anyone actually ENJOY & LIKE Kotaku? I've found myself taking them off my whitelisted websites as they've (in my opinion) slowly devolved into ja-baiting...

OP creates a topic about how terrible Kotaku is

Thin-skinned Jason Schreier gets incredibly assmad and basically signals to Isamu Fukui if he wants to retain his "services" on Resetera he better do something

I'd actually be more interested if they killed the sprawl and made it more dense in terms of the buildings you can go into and the complexity of the missions. Driving across a huge space just to do a 10 minute mission just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Mods then go looking for a way to carry out this emergency action and find a post from a day before the Kotaku topic was made to silently permanently ban the poster
Because when your "gaming forum" is hated by the whole games industry and Jason Schreier only uses it to shill his books, you best keep Jason on your side and purge any wrong-think that makes him upset.

Shit, did you guys hear we're almost 8Chan and that we're Hitler's Germany? Apparently I didn't get the memo. LOL, what a joke! Also, a lot of the Era drones are after me now

You never know what's true on NeoGAF these days, but that story of internal turmoil under Isamu Fukui's utopia could at least explain how nearly all the original admins have quit/bailed and the same with the moderation team.
Our woke ally Isamu has lost control and is basically hiding under his desk hoping the woke bux keep coming in for another year or so. 2020 should break Resetera.
If all the Resetera troons don't overdose when Trump wins they'll be soo assmad and looking for blood they'll destroy the forum.

We're nearly at 10,000 bans on a "videogame forum" in 2 years. 1/4 of the userbase. There's hardly any normies left and sign ups have all but dried up. There might not even be enough people to ban by 2020 other than their own
