No, he definitely did, and after spreading it more than a fair amount to young students, having concluded the virus theory of AIDS was bogus. He was a troll but you can't really understand the underpinnings of why the fuck SJWs are what they're like without reading him, much like Marx. Some of his stuff is worth reading for its own sake, though, with the caveat that at least 25% of it is deliberate nonsense.

Most of the worst nonsense actually came from his students writing about him, not from him directly. Foucault's successors are the original SJWs, using his theories to invent fake studies in order to get themselves positions in academia without having to fight others for them. Fashionable Nonsense is a good book if you want to read about their infiltration of the sciences.
