A big part of it too is that they’re so hung up on the idea that the future can only be gay space communism that any world that isn’t that is extremely triggering to them. The only exception is if Blornard Blormphe and his TurboNaziKKKapitalism laid waste to the entire world.

It doesn’t matter because most of them are going to buy it on the DL. RetardEra users have no willpower whatsoever. It’s why they want things banned: otherwise they know they’ll go astray at some point.

The odd thing is cyberpunk as a setting suggests they'll get the body alteration as well as the social acceptance they demand. However it's a pyric victory as a cyberpunkworld is overall worse than our own world so this 'win' is ultimatly meaningless.
If I was playing armchair shrink I'd suggest the reason they're reacting badly is because the setting suggests that even if we have the tech to alter your body that it probably won't solve your personal and finacial shortcomings.

I imagine if Resetera's posters could become a sexy women/weird sexy gender fluid person with ease they' be alone and misrable since they'd now be stuck in a world were everyone is a sexy woman with big tits and they're still a boring whiney asshole and the system is still fucked . Considering the way tech is going I get the impression this is on the way, the flesh will be clay but your brain is still dogshit.

Cyberpunks existance ultimatly rubs it in their faces that their inability to be a sexy woman with big tits isnt the be all and end all of life. That I think is why in part they hate it.

doesn't this game literally have a proud boys type gang in it? do you think they will project hard with it or be rather balanced with it?(i remember the main character saying that their lofty patriotism was bullshit or something). but, obviously its not really worth too many 'woke points,' however, I just think that the game really IS pandering to the lefty types in many ways, because the people who are making the change and who are the best people so far that I've seen are the misunderstood punks who network through a bar and they're fighting the corporate people and cops and blah blah blah. I mean, the game is pretty in line with the left today.
