That’s accurate.
They only care about whatever feeling of superiority they can reel in from any situation at the expense of others. They revel in assertion, emotion and stubbornness, which are the exact opposite of what makes a society livable: discussion, logic and compromise. They’re narcissistic sociopaths.
This is also why they support appallingly regressive ideas such as the “court of public opinion”, by virtue of which they allow themselves to try and ruin the lives of people on simple accusations.
