Also, while you don't have to use it and can roll your own config, their software is pretty easy to install and use and has a "killswitch" option that shuts down your Internet entirely if you aren't connected to the VPN, preventing accidental exposure.

Trump had little to do with this. I lost the link to it, but there was an article that said that sources said that Trump didn't really care about repealing NN and thought it was fine as is. It was Pai's pet issue.

You can thank Obama and McConnell for getting a shill like Pai into the FCC into the first place. Trump just appointed him along party lines. Anyways, this is a wildly unpopular decision that will go nowhere. It's got like less than 30% popular support.

He didn't really have a choice on appointing a Republican, since the Commission can't have more than three Republicans or three Democrats. So it's always, or mostly always, 3-2.

I'm not sure why you'd pick this specific absolute douchebag street shitter, though.
