Well yeah you're not just going to stick with one game forever and more stuff is going to come out. It's a starting point.

Feel bad for the people who dropped a grand or so on a new gaming PC just specifically for Cyberpunk.

dropping money on either is fucking retarded, but lets not act like spending 1000 dollars anticipating a specific game is somehow dumber than spending 500 on expecting *something* down the road.

The 8th gaming generation on video game consols was the worst generation ever:

-Wii U was a big wet fart.
-Xbox one was a graveyard for exclusives (Crackdown 3, Scalebound, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Phantom Dust, Knoxville)
-PS4 was the most souless Sony consol ever, while they did have some big hits (Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Infamous: Second Son, Last Guardian), they started the generation with the wrong foot (Killzone: Shadow Fall, Little Big Planet 3, The Order:1886)and some of their franchises were nowhere to be seen (Ape Escape, Twisted Metal, Sly, Resistance)
-Rockstar released one single game
-Konami is a Zombie
-Ubisoft turned into Assasins Creed/Far Cry machine.
-Handhelds in general are pretty much dead, while the Switch is a very successful video game system, it fails to hold a candle to the charm to actual handhelds like the 3DS and PSP.

The 9th video game generation has almost no appeal whatsoever considering most of the franchises that shined during the 6th and 7th generations are almost all dead, hell the fact nobody is using the term "9th video game generation" to describe PS5 and Xbox Series X just shows how much people are excited for these new consols.

Even with Phil Spencer buying the entire video game industry he gives me very little confidence after shitting the bed on the first few years, Sony sometimes might pull a gem here or there but their progression during the entire PS4 era holds a very bleak future for most of their IPs.

Capcom just turns in another Monster Hunter iteration and ocassionally something related to resident evil or devil may cry. That's all they do.
At least I managed to get a shitton of XSEED/Falcom rpgs on ps4 that were either unreleased or kept in the Vita catacombs. I can't complain about ps4 because ps3 was such a dry shitshow.
Conversely, all of ps4's "so called must-haves" are shit tier playable movies with about the same replayability of solitaire, but worse. AAA was a goddamn mistake.

im going to go out on a limb and guess halo infinite had really really shitty live service elements.

i think the initial delay was simply stated to be 2021 right? the one back in august? probably the idea was to give it 3-4 months of better graphics and polish.

then they either had some focus groups come in or they saw the bomb that was avengers and realized they had a fucking mess on their hands. guarantee there was probably minimal set pieces and minimal story. probably a lot of bullshit raid missions and a lot of boring warthog riding to objective locations. it probably didnt have a good conclusion so that they could set up "seasons" since they said from the start it was going to be a continual live service, right?

they realized that along with the graphics this would fucking kill halo. thats why suddenly a few weeks ago its revealed its delayed until fall 2021. theyre going to rush an actual campaign into this and probably try to make the open world less boring to traverse id assume.

didnt the same shit happen with halo 5? like they wanted it to have a more open map structure but they couldnt get it to work or something which caused them to completely rework the game at the last minute. thats why all of the pre release hype promotion didnt match the game at all?

Another theory I heard was that 5 was originally going to be a spinoff called Halo: Guardians that was supposed to setup the actual Halo 5 but after the related side material bombed, 343 had to scramble to make it into a 'full' Halo sequel. A lot of conjecture and wishful thinking, but no actual proof.

The same replayability of Solitare, if you used new decks of cards every time so it was always the same deck and as easy as possible.
