the good news is a New game DF game is coming baby!

The bad news? it's being developed by TiMi Studios, which is owned by our great friend. Tencent, and it's also coming for mobile....which is also a major red flag.

i loved the blackhawk down delta force game, but it seems every single FPS has to be a clone of each other. unfortunately, the modern FPS scene is so boring to me. even if i still played vidya i wouldnt bother.

Delta Force was the first FPS I ever played on PC back during the days of WindowsME. Interesting that it's being brought back after all these years.

Wow, I remember this series. Can't remember which I played though, I only remember one stage; you get dropped off by a helicopter by some palm trees and if you move forward there's some buildings down in like a little valley area with enemies.

I was absolute trash at it so I would just shoot down my helicopter or shoot down trees (I'm 99% sure there was destruction physics).

Anyway, I'm interested if only for nostalgia's sake.

Delta Force was shit but the engine was cool. It felt a bit like they were trying to make Rainbow Six or SpecOps except structures were generally shacks and you started a mile away to show off the terrain, armed with scoped guns that had pinpoint accuracy over any distance. Ghost Recon was the actual realization of the Delta Force game idea.

This is pathetic. In the past ten years there has been a huge influx of actual Delta Force Operators getting out of the Army and doing the book/podcast/social media circuit. Some basic Googling will reveal hundreds of hours of them talking about what the weapons and tactics they use (selling out national security for money is a whole separate issue that isn't pertinent to this discussion) but this game uses a bunch of generic weapons which aren't used by Delta.

Cherry on top, the game's currently getting raped by cheaters anyways despite having EAC - Temu edition. Imagine making software so shit that it flags USB keys for banning, but leaves HWID spoofing untouched. My friends think I'm retarded for not installing this because I said to them that this is a Crowdstrike situation waiting to happen.

Gameplay-wise, the game clones fucking Battlefield 2042 of all games, with even less release content than day one BF2042 along with even sleazier grind and shittier gunplay. The only bugcatchers people positively reviewing the kernel-level data and cryptominer either shitpost or sound like they get paid 50 cent/post.

I was low-key looking forward to this since it looks like a good Battlefield-MW2019 Ground War clone but with an actual playerbase unlike something like World War 3 which was doomed to fail from day 1. This is why I don't get excited for games anymore, I know better than to look forward to a title that will only disappoint me.

You did the right thing. People don't give a shit anymore about Chinese softwares, mainly made by Tencent can fuck up your computer one day while their "anti-cheat" still can be bypass by cheaters easily. That being said...

I miss the days when gaming isn't dominated by CCP so I don't have to worry about installing one of them which always have Chinese spywares injected in every single of their games.

This game is so odd the campaign is actually a remake of Black Hawk Down but the actual multiplayer side is very different, releases this week though.
