Can you make it so clicking anywhere on the player starts the video instead of just on the play icon when you start a video? You can pause by clicking anywhere which is a bit buggy with the caption button but having to click directly on the play button feels weird

Just to clear some confusion up, H.261 is the video encoding. Unregistered Hypercam is just an unregistered copy of the Hypercam screen recording software. I would imagine from that time period it would probably be in the CIF format, maybe in an AVI container? I find it hard to believe anyone has anything in H.261 format, but there is no reason that it shouldn't be properly converted on the backend into a modern format. However, it is not a format natively supported in any modern browsers, and Null has not whitelisted any formats that are not natively supported by modern browsers, so you will likely have to wait until H.261 is whitelisted.

No apologies for being a lowly phone poster. It would be good to get left/right double-taps for skipping a few seconds back and forward in the vid, right now it just switches the video to and from fullscreen. Otherwise cool stuff, love seeing improvements to the site like this.
 
Should give HEVC/H265 a shot, compresses better than H.264 and usually looks better.
On my home server I remuxed all of my pirated shit to H265 and it legit saved me prob 12tb of storage lmao

Loading spinner behaves like vid related, haven't seen it mentioned yet so I'm wondering if it's just on my side.

The new video player is great and hasn't crashed on me at all, thank you Null for your hard work ❤️

I do have a question, the old player had an option to send a video as a link without linking a post/thread, with this player when you copy the video link it lands on a webp of the kf background, is there a way to link just the video?
 
Will this make the site's video storage faster or more storage space efficient? There is a lot uploaded to it, but loading a video used to take 10 minutes.

I hope this will improve the Codex Pajeet uploads.

You're asking the question using technical language that doesn't match but yes video playback should be very fast.
