Plagued Nice Guys

If you're this bad at reading signals, you must get erect every time a female bicyclist signals to turn left. American sign language must look like the dirtiest repertoire in a mime's bag of tricks - they so much as sign 'She needs CPR!' and you're already at the awkward smell in the air, insisting it was her fault for insisting on choking as foreplay.

To be fair to that "nice guy" with the FB post, she was kind of a dick for sorta leading him on, instead of just telling him she wasn't interested. "Oh sure, I'll dance with you", then bail. Although, I admit, I had to laugh at her taking both the tickets and going with someone elese. It's a dick move, but hilarious

But, I can't give him complete sympathy, because by then, he should have taken the fucking multitude of hints that a relationship was NEVER going to happen there.

And of course, this is all assuming she didn't outright tell him that she wasn't interested. Which does happen. Sometimes people don't want to "hurt someone's feelings", so they put up with this kind of unrequited courtship for months, or in this case YEARS, because they want to spare someone being sad. Now, if she did tell him she didn't want to be in a relationship, then that invalidates even the minor "defense" I gave to the "Nice Guy"

The :autism: is strong with this one. If he wants to have sex so badly, he should just get a hooker off of Backpage to take his accursed virginity.
This is what I don't get about these guys. If they're honestly so desperate that it's causing them some sort of breakdown, then surely the obvious thing to do is save up some money and see a hooker. Sure, you can argue that it's not "real," but nor is getting a pity-fuck from someone who doesn't actually find you attractive, and we know they're fine with that.

But yeah, I'd have to agree. These people obviously were taught while young that being nice means people do things for you and somehow ended up associating that with getting laid along the line. Reality is way more complex than a dating sim, so these guys don't understand why people truly get together while they stay alone. Or they create complex delusions, like so:

The clitoris is not hard to find. It's right there. Same place on every woman. It's not like some women have it under their left arm or in the back of their car or something.

This always reminds me of 90s sitcoms, where a man's inability to please a woman due to the sheer obfuscating complexity of her body was such a weirdly ubiquitous comedy point. Maybe they take that at face value.

I think these guys get a lot of their ideas on the relationships between men and women via tv and movies. Like, "hot woman with ugly/dorky/bumbling husband" is a super common trope; a lot of Nice Guys are shocked to discover that not all beautiful women are looking for that type of man.

Also, adults generally judge a potential partner on a lot more factors than where they fit on an arbitrary 1-10 scale. Nice guys really do seem to believe that physical beauty must mean everything else important about her is also in good shape and therefore not worth examining.
