I tend to see love a bit like respect: it must be earned, especially the romantic kind.
Earning love doesn't mean to have good looks or lots of money, or a good social status, but by being an actual nice person (not a nice guy) and a decent human being. I believe there's a match for everyone, and what it takes to find it is to do good and live well. It's not at all like in movies, were gals go for edgy, dark and troubled guys; or unsecure, barely unable to speak a complete sentence and greasy weaboos.
