I can't imagine he's in the habit of turning down people who can pay the bill and don't have some obvious baggage that might make the juice not worth the squeeze. I think Randazza has stated a lot of his clients are paying heavily discounted rates because he views their cases as important or that their cause is worthy in some way.

On the other hand, it seems Rekieta is paying top dollar for his services.

It's long been postulated that Masterson is Nick's idol. More so than any lawyer. Which might also (at least partially) explain the shift from law to more degenerate content.

Problem is, Dick is also Ralph's idol. Which leads to the uncomfortable observation that the three of them all act so alike now. Even if Nick and Ralph are at odds.

I just can't get over why anyone would want to emulate Dick. His star has been fading for some time now too. It's like both Nick and Ralph can now be regarded as "Kroger-brand Mastersons."

Nick's channel for the past 8 months has been oscillating between a shitty Tim Pool knockoff and a shitty Dick Show knockoff. With the exception of the murder trial in between which he still whines about doing 4 months later.

I think Dick's approach is the best available for two reasons:

1. As you note, Ralph is never going to apologize. The best that could be hoped for is a mumbled "I probably shouldn't have said that" after the fence has already been mended.
2. Ralph's opinion about a person is directly downstream of what that person is saying about Ralph at the time. After Rekieta mocked Ralph, he suddenly went from ace attorney to a shitty lawyer who acted unethically. If Nick started praising Ralph again and/or interacted with him positively on Dick's show, even if they didn't even address their disputes, Ralph would suddenly be fine with Rekieta again. All Nick would have to do would be to do a show where he mocks the Vickers' legal strategy and Ralph would LOVE Rekieta again.

I think one thing in the background driving what's going on here is that Kayla is maybe not so willing to be open with degeneracy as Nick is and got personally offended by Ralph going in on them like he did. Remember when Nick accidentally blabbed that he was going to Jamaica and he said he wasn't supposed to say that, as if he was under strict instructions not to do so? I think there might be a little bit of that here.

What I liked most about that clip was how Coomanlet just sat there in silence like an unwanted stepchild, while Nick drooled over Dick.
