It's a tale as old as time. Look at Hungry Fat Chick. She was getting a lot of views at the start because of her giant size and eating all that amount of food. So she gained an audience of people who crave shock value, give their opinions etc.. same as Nik.. he blew up for the same reasons and now he started his weightloss and started to visually lose weight his views went down. It's a very hard pole to balance because on the one hand you need to look after your health but then you also need to pay your bills and people don't wanna see someone on a health journey or get fit. Most people wanna see someone fat, disgusting eat a mass amount of foods..

this might be true for some mukbang youtubers, but Nick is clearly not just fat and eats a lot of food, the appeal of him for most people is that he's highly dramatic and whiny and weird, seeing him do anything will likely be entertaining, i honestly think if no other youtuber who got big for being big could get large amounts of attention for losing weight, nick is the one who could if he just maintained that character thruout - constantly complain about how much it sucks, eat 'gross' healthy food in a sloppy manner, slip in the occasional return to form by throwing a buncha cheetos into a bowl of lettuce and calling it a salad or dancing around a supermarket complaining about vegetables and slapping around the frozen meat, film himself crying and struggling on an exercise bike.... he knows by now what a character he created, but then again i can only assume he has genuinely given up and is just taking the long route to suicide

Oh he totally knows what character he has created. Just watch him from a normal guy suddenly puff out his cheeks in his 'entitled fat fuck' persona before he slaps his belly like a rikishi and says outlandish stupid shit, then minor thing derails him and he throws his head back and starts wailing...yeah he has been running low of cash so he's restarted his whole moneymaking persona all over again. It will mean his life eventually, he's taken several years off his lifespan already.

People actually do want to see successful health journeys, they just aren’t the viewers the muckbangers attract. They basically have to start over and build a totally new audience. They’re so used to their regular income though that they won’t take the hit until they can build that new audience up.

Nik did have old fast food containers standing around, but is he crazy enough to clean and reuse an old milk bottle? Probably. It looks in good condition for a year-old bottle though. Was the seal broken in the video? I can't watch right now.
